Im not a fan of the fast KO, but when a guy is clearly out of his league like Golota was against every top guy he fought.....well, both K2 have dispatched equally lower LOC. Austin, Hide, Mormeck, Bostice, Jefferson, Johnson, Mahone etc etc etc.

There are much better arguments to make in favor of Lewis ranking ahead of the K2 on the ATG list.

And why does every Lewis appreciation thread somehow turn into a K2 hate thread and vice versa.

****ing epic stupidity. Not by you Irishny, but you know the typical Klittards and Klithaters who do it. Let's not feed them on this one.:thumbsup

this is the truth. i remember saying before the fight i thought lennox would find a way to keep his belt. i was embarrassingly right. buying this ppv would have been a disappointment but the gatti-ruleas fight saved the night.

I'd disagree about Golota being out of his depth against every top guy.

He was pretty unlucky to not get the nod over Ruiz and Byrd. I personally think he won both.

The issue usually came when thinking came into play, or when things late in a fight didn't play out as expected.

Would have beaten Bowe twice if he hadn't kept bashing him in the balls.
Melted down against Grant when Grant didn't go away.

Did get smashed by Brewster though. I thought Golota was done before the Byrd fight to be honest, but he surprised me in those ones.

Total bull**** . VLAD not only has a higher ko percentage but also many more fights . The advantage goes to LL and he still loses this debate . :hi:

The issues Golota showed in the Bowe fights aren't an indicator of what Lewis would do.
Grant had never been rocked, not an indicator of what Lewis would do.
Ruddock showed no chin issues, again not an indicator of what Lewis would do.
Botha hadn't shown any real weakness other than getting cocky and paying the price vs Tyson.

So in the words of the virgin Mary, come again?

    Golota was favored.

Anyone who follows HW knows he had serious issues going into this.

It started the night before. Then he had lidocaine injections with a near fatal reaction. Showed up like 20 minuntes late and came out stiff and ice cold.

I read he told management he wanted to back out or something but they made him fight.

    Very unfortunate but **** happens.

Golota showed he was mentally fragile against Bowe.

Grant was knocked down twice by Golota and rocked repeatedly in that fight.

A guy getting pissed off at receiving constant low blows while a biased ref does **** all and finally snapping doesn't show the type of mental frailty that makes a coach think they can just jump on him within a round.

Tommy Morrison was blown out the water by Bent in 1, took Lewis 6 rounds.
Light punching Moorer tko'd Billups in 3, Lewis UD'd him.
Jackson was crushed by Ruddock in 4, it took Lewis till 8.

Simple fact is if Lewis landed a big shot in the right place early you were going down or severely wobbled unless you had an iron chin.
