Lennox Lewis is one of the greatest heavyweights, and yet he didn't make the cut for ESPN's Top 50 Greatest Boxers of All Time list. What a surprise! Do you believe he is a Top 50 ATG or not? Please vote :smooch
Yes, without question. Some of the names that people talk about as being top 50 aren't fit to lace Lennox's boots..... For me he is top 30.
He is top 50 without a doubt. He is one of the best heavyweight ever, How can he not be in the top 50.
I used to think of Lennox as a top 50 fighter, but if I actually had to write a list I doubt he would quite make the cut. Top 70, a great heavyweight, I am a fan.
yes he is...never faced anyone he didn't beat...went after the best fighters in the division...Good ko power as we want to see out of a heavyweight...Lennox is mos def a top 45
He gets my vote for being in the top 50, good question because he's somewhere in that area, perhaps between top 30-50, (never thought about where exactly). If Ali and Louis can make the top 10 and he's considered by many top 4-5 then he should comfortably make the top 50.
Beat everyone he ever faced, including the next generation's toughest champion. Retired as champion. Never embarrassed himself with ill-advised comebacks. Never lost a points decision. Cleaned out his division. Avenged both defeats via dominant stoppage. Was facing and defeating top-level competition for more than a decade. Top 50 for sure. There aren't 50 fighters who check all those boxes, not even close. :hat
The guy broke down and cried in the ring. Sure he had serious mental issues, but come on, you don't get a more one-sided title fight than that. And anyway, it's not Lennox's fault that McCall couldn't handle it. Lennox lost the first fight by early KO. Chased the rematch to avenge himself, signed the fight, trained hard, turned up ready to whip McCall. And he did. :hat
