If Earnie hits Lennox, Lewis is obviously dead, but there's no way he would take Shavers lightly. Keep away, clinch liberally in close, and let Earnie run down before taking him out.

Unless Earnie gets luckier than the class geek who got it on with the prom queen, he's basically ****ed...

Shavers is/was the rare type of puncher that dips down to launch his big right hand. Most guys rise up. That said, when Earnie dips down, that Lewis set of whiskers is going to be a long ways away and quite a bit higher. So it won't land. Plus Lewis is smart enough to circle away from the right and it's his straight right hand that will catch Earnie early moving in. And the fight will be over fairly quick once Shavers eats a big shot from Lennox Lewis.

Shavers has the punchers chance, but that's all, Lewis takes it in every other department.

    Lewis early-mid round ko/tko.

Lewis KO 3 Shavers, Earnie won't have a chance to land his right hand.

I pick Lennox ,and by early ko, but your last sentence is illogical ,because Lewis was kod by two good, but not great fighters.

I think that both of Lewis's losses to big punchers represent serious lapses in his game.

The first time he had a technical flaw and was on a learning curve.

The second time he just plain got clumsy.

The crucial question is "what are the chances of him making similar mistakes against Shavers?"

    I say slim.

This is one thing that LEWis and LOUis have in common.

They were both prepared to play the long game, but if it served their interests they could out Tyson Tyson.

Not trying to influence the Louis-Lewis thread.

Lewis would do the jab and run like a gazelle method he used against Tua and Shavers would never land a mitt on him. Agree on the never begin about to use the power thing.

if its Lewis in trained properly and wanna kill this ****er mode, Shavers will be lucky to go 3 rounds. If its this is a contractual obligement, a few extra pounds wont matter Lewis- he had better keep his hands up.
