You haven't got a clue Pay attention you might learn something ..... 1... The Bible of Boxing was the RING mag ran by Nat Fleischer . Not to be confused with the Ring mag now owned by Oscar/GBP which lost all its credibility when they took it over. 2... As for BpxRec That has even less credibility By quoting these two abominations you show us that you have little knowledge of the sport similar to the troll that started this blatant troll thread
It was in Canada where he took up boxing, might not have happened had he stayed in the UK. Neither Canadians or Brits really took to him, he has dual nationality and there was always boxing fans from both sides that saw his nationality as an issue. Personally I couldn't care less if he see's himself as British, Canadian or Jamaican. Being a fan of a fighter just because of nationality seems so arbitrary to me.
Only a complete moron or dinosaur thinks Boxrec is not hugely relevant in today's scene as proven by its 200k members, database and traffic. For me, and thinking fans, it's the only ratings I care about. I feel your pain though, cowardly Lion at #13 has obviously put you over the edge. . Cry harder you clueless little smart ass.
Nationality plays a big part mate. You think if Joshua represented Nigeria at the Olympics and demmed himself a Nigerian he would be as big as he is now ??
Obviously not as plenty of people follow him just cause he's British. But I was talking from a personal point of view, he could be Nigerian and I'd still be a fan. I personally don't care which nationality a fighter is.
I'm not a troll bruv, I clearly said I think Lewis demolishes all listed but wanted to see people's views. Especially other Brit's that think AJ is the second coming.
But he wouldn't be as big as he is now.Do you think 70K People would go to watch a Nigerian v Ukrainan in England.NO.Your underestimating how many people are patriotic when it comes down to it
I'm not disagreeing with you, fact is vast majority of Joshua fans are nationalistic fanboys, I'm not denying that. I'm simply talking about a personal perspective. I don't care how popular or unpopular Joshua is, I don't care what nationality he is, I'm a fan of his style and dedication to the sport. People focus on a fighters nationality like it really means anything. Lewis was a Brit, a Canadian a Jamaican etc but that's all secondary to me to him being a damn great boxer. So people can pick on Joshua and Lewis saying they are not really British like it's some kind of insult. Well for me that doesn't matter.
Lewis is the GOAT IMO, but he would certainly not go 6-0(6KO) vs that crop. And KO 1 Joshua??? Wow... Lewis KO 5 Wilder Close cards v Povetkin, Parker. Wide UD v peak Fury Early KO Ortiz And beat Joshua similar to Joshua beating Klitschko He'd F around though and get starched by someone like Ruiz Jr or Whyte
You are in the Minority, however the Majority give a ****.Promoters try to make Boxing a Nationalistic Sport, why do National Anthems play during a Boxing Match, why do ring announcers say what Country/Town that Fighter is from.
