Joe Louis in 6 or less, probably less.

IF LL is on it, he takes it, however too often he fought over cautious or ordinary, in which case Louis would capitalise on this apprehension & fear. KO Joe.

but yes LL could take it too, as stated. a good fight, I'd bet the Bomber.

Glad somebody is. To call an ambulance and give him some serious first aid.

I see it differently. I see Lennox's caution as an asset as he uses his size to make his opponent come to him.

Ok. So Louis doesn’t struggle against a modern super heavy weight? Let’s just forget why Cruiserweight was created. And a 4 stone weight/4inch height/8 inch reach disadvantage. Ok.

I find the idea that Lewis's size would be an insurmountable obstacle, a rather odd one.

For a start Louis wasn't even tat small, he was near enough identical in size to Evander Holyfield, on the night he won the title from James Douglas.

On top of that Louis was clearly a man who could overcome a size disparity.

Now I get it that the big men of his era were not as good as Lewis, but it's not like their size permitted them to overperform against him.

Wouldn't we have expected them to do at least as well as the smaller men he was fighting?

Who would you put your house on if you absolutely had to? Mine would be Lewis.

I wouldn't put my house on either of them, but If you put a gun to my head, then it would go in Louis.

I do not consider you to be an idiot for thinking differently.

Crusierweight was a business move nothing more.

I’m talking betting. Cause I wouldn’t put my house on any bet. But that’s me. If I had a gun to my head I’d say Lewis.

Really? So you have a 175 against a 270. It had to happen.

There might be a need for a cruiserweight division, but it boils down to a very small number of fighters.

For example if you take away the Klitschko brothers, then the cruiserweights of that era do just fine in a 175 heavyweight class.

No it didn’t. There have always been huge weight differences at HW. Lougran or however you spell his name gave up like 84lbs against Carnera. Byrd who did end up making LHW later in his career competed against huge guys and made a name off it. Anyone who can make 175lbs should stay there and they won’t need to fight the 270lber.

Imagine Any Light~Heavy vs Mike Tyson during his first reign. If you made that match you’d never work in boxing again. I’d love to go back to the traditional 8 divisions but you just can’t.
