When was Wlad “prime”, around that time he got knocked out by Brewster or when he didn’t fight anyone of note?

You’re right about not being entirely fair to compare, although it’s a fun albeit inaccurate barometer.

That said, I think almost any version of Lewis beats prime Wlad, Lewis was too mentally tough, Much more of a warrior’s mentality...Lewis was most dangerous when hurt, Wlad being the opposite. Both were great fighters though. Lewis was just all wrong for him.

True but, I would double my bet for Lewis to win the rematch.

Fury gives him the most problems. I could see the size, reach and movement of Fury seeing Fury being one of the few men who out boxed Lewis. But Lewis would do what he always did when being out jabbed or out boxed, he'd go to war, walk down his man and stop Fury. Lewis isn't Wlad, he has an inside game, knows how to walk a man down and can counter punch. Lewis KO inside 8 rounds.

Don't see the Ortiz and Mercer comparison, they had quite different styles. Mercer was more seek and destroy, while Ortiz is a crafty counter puncher. Mercer had a far better chin too and his amateur pedigree suggests he was the better boxer too. Both don't have the highest work rate, both not in the best shape and of a similar size but that's the only thing they have in common. Lewis out boxes Ortiz with his reach and movement with ease but is cautious of the counter and takes his time to break Ortiz down. Lewis KO's him mid rounds once his right hand starts to land.

Lewis does what he always does vs big guys against Wilder and jumps him. I see a Grant type KO, Wilder doesn't have the physical strength to not be manhandled on the inside and doesn't box well enough to keep Lewis at a distance. He has a punchers chance of course but once Lewis establishes that heavy jab and pressure he'll have Wilder on the back foot and too disorganised to pose much of a threat.

Lewis will probably try and jump AJ as well like he did Ruddock and Golota as he'd see AJ as dangerous and want to prove a point, we'd see the killer version of Lewis. I don't think AJ will fold as easily as the likes of Grant, Golota and Ruddock. He's better than them and if Lewis takes it too him Lewis would find he's up against a guy he can't just over power and physically dominate on the inside. AJ might give him a scare but eventually Lewis adapts, he out boxes AJ, he has the better jab, better reach, better movement, more fluid boxing skills. He breaks AJ down and stops him eventually as AJ tires.

If any of those guys went past 3 to 4 rounds I'd be very very very...

very suprised. Lennox would make short work of all of them, granted Wilder has a punchers chance. But Lennox is always switched on and would counter and avoid and land his own. Except that one time against Rahman where he decided to switch off.

Lennox is tall and rangy too, he'll keep them at the end of his jab and knock them out with a quality combination.

Just like every other human being, Lewis wasn’t always at his best…He wasn’t focused, or at least didn’t appear to be, for Rahman or McCall…

I imagine Lewis would agree as neither of those fights damaged his iron sense of invincibility when focused...most undefeated fighters have a lot of trouble after suffering a ko loss, at least for a while…

    Lewis and it's not close.

He's technically too good for Wilder and Joshua and Fury's got nothing to deter him with. A massacre.

Prime Lewis would be undefeated in the current HW division.

The most dangerous of the bunch for Lennox is Wilder, Lewis chops up the other two

    I see Lewis-Wilder being a repeat of Lewis-Grant.

I personally believe H2H Lennox is the best HW ever when he's firing on all cylinders. Wilder isn't sturdy enough to go to war with Lennox and Lennox unless absolutely playing around (ala Rahman 1 see the big grin before the ko), isn't gonna get hit with something goofy. Lennox really didn't make a lot of mistakes in the ring.

Joshua is extremely basic and Lennox had a better jab, right, hand, was a bit quicker on the draw, was likely physically stronger, and had light years more advanced and better footwork. Lennox had too much in the arsenal for him.

Tyson Fury I think would give him a little bit of difficulty, Tyson is not a power puncher at all but Tyson is a quick combination puncher and to be the giant that he is, Tyson's footwork is quite phenomenal for a HW, although I think Lennox's foot work was a bit better. I think Lennox wins but he has to work for it, as Tyson would be a moving target as long as the fight lasts.

In my book a Prime Focused Ready Lennox Lewis is the best MW champ since Ali. In this shape he'd destroy all 3 easily. But if the Lennox of the Rachman ! & McCall 1 shows up he might get caught napping again by a big Wilder windmill. Lennox had one fault he tended to fight to the caliber of his opponent. He wasn't ready fot McCall & Rahman but man did they pay in the rematches

    Lewis KO Wilder Rd 2
    Lewis TKO Joshua Rd 5
    Lewis KO Fury Rd 7

    For Wilder, see Grant
    For Joshua, see Briggs
For Fury, see well I’m not sure but Fury’s willingness to engage 5 reverse gears would keep him out of harms way for a while.
