The Sanders that beat Vladimir was no different than the lost to Rahman, Nate Tubbs.

That same Sanders would have lost to Mercer and Bruno.

No one ever cared Sander, nor took him seriously until that night that night in Germany.

I agree. He landed an awesome shot in round 3 that was probably as good as the one he landed in round 1, VK just took it better. An all time great fight.

You call that an all time great fight? I don't watch that fight , like i don't watch Ali vs Berbick.

Whats great about Vitali pummeling an old , chronically out of shape , 90's fringe contender?

What the hell is the matter with you?

Unfortunately Corrie really was pretty much past it by then. His handspeed and power were still there but his footwork was nonexistent.

To be honest Lewis vs Sanders is a matchup of two fighters that could both blow hot and cold. If one of them shows up out of shape / undertrained, the other is likely to win. Lewis undoubtedly has the better resume but I feel that this is due to opportunities taken and not necessarily pure awesomeness. H2H a prime Sanders poses all sorts of awkward questions that I'm not sure Lewis would want to answer.

Either way, this fight would very likely be a barnstormer :yep

I have good taste, don't live to hate, and enjoy quality, high level boxing. Unlike you, out of stock of brains.

Wlad showed no survival instinct in that fight, just wilted under the pressure. If Sanders landed on Lewis, Lennox would do the exact same thing that the did against Briggs; cover up, clinch and smother Corrie until he was out of trouble.

Briggs actually had the exact same qualities Sanders did, fast hands, power and a fast, aggresive starter.

Despite his knockout losses Lewis took a decent shot for most of his career, and he's simply to good for Corrie, period.

How do you know when he's been knocked out twice by single punches and gone life and death with dudes that didn't have Sanders hand speed or power? Lewis has to be on his A game or he gets knocked out. Sanders was the Ortiz of his day: an older fighter who could not get fights because he was high risk low reward. You going to tell me Ortiz is not a live dog vs Joshua/Wilder/Fury? I can tell you now Lewis 03 does not blast out W K in two rounds ,he goes life and death like he did with Mavrovic and WK 03 is twice (three times) the fighter Mavrovic was.

And I can tell you now that no version of Lewis, even 2016 Lewis gets knocked out by one punch from Nate Tubbs...

Sanders had power and speed, but so did a guy like Briggs. Wlad had was hurt and had no idea what to do, just crumbled apart. Lewis knew how to survive and get out of shaky moments.

Unless Lewis shows up in outright terrible shape (Rahman I) he beats Sanders.
