Yes, and more than once. Sometimes Lewis' fans claims are beyond ridiculous. His chin was't bad but it wasn't great by any means either. Prime Rahman couldn't stop 40-years-old versions of Al Cole, Trevor Berbick and Jesse Ferguson, despite landing repeatedly his best punches against them. Yet he needed just one shot to KTFO Lewis.
An untrained Lewis* And do you really think it was that bad when Morrison, Mercer, Vitali, Briggs and Bruno landed on him flush. Lewis also pummeled Rahman in the rematch. Wilder wouldn't be able to land flush unless it went 12, and with Lewis' power and Wilder's chin then it ain't going 12
Morrison didnt land any left hooks, he was dominated from round 1. But others...yes. Lewis' chin isn't glass, not even close. But not granite either.
I'd say Lewis alot better boxing IQ but with Wilder he always has a punchers chance always! Reminds me of Max baer without the chin. Trust me Wilder hits hard enough to hurt any heavyweight there's every been if he catches them right! As could Maxie!
Lewis will need to be perfect over 12 rounds, Wilder will need to be perfect for a second. Very possible to see Lewis dominating the fight, Wilder taking punishment until the right hand lands and game over.
No. I believe Wilder's chin might be worse than LL's. Wilder is the one clearly in danger here. He's the one who has "a puncher's chance", not the other way around.
With Lewis chin, of course Wilder has a puncher's chance. But the much more likely outcome is a Lewis win as he is the more skilled and fundamentally sound fighter. Especially if Lewis is in shape.
Considering that Lewis is the greatest of all time I think his jab would be too much for Wilder. This content is protected
