How do you think it would turn out? Of course, Shavers always has the punchers chance, but IMO I see Lewis TKO'ing Shavers in the mid rounds. Around 7 or so. But if Shavers lands a punch as hard or nearly as hard as he landed on Holmes, then IMO Shavers would KO Lewis.
I don't see Shavers getting out of the first round. He has a punchers chance but Lewis was not that easy to land flush on and Shavers isn't the most skilled puncher either.
No, but Holmes, Ali, and Tillis weren't the easiest to land on either. As Ali said, Shavers was one tough acorn to crack. Shavers through his right cross at a funny, looping angle.
The problem with this fight is Shavers, while he can occassionally land a punch, he can't take one. Lewis would KO him relatively easy.
Yep, Lewis decides how long the fight lasts. And for the record, Lewis had a better chin than Holmes. :good
LEWIS KO4. Just the wrong style for Shavers. Lewis hit much harder than Holmes. Lewis also has the option to outbox Shavers, maybe not as well as Homes did, but he would more than likely he would go in for the kill early.
Whoever gets their shot in first wins. Shavers had the far harder punch and fought in more competive era. If he gets one of his bombs on Lewis's shaky chin, the fight is OVER. My guess, Shavers gets him early and knocked him out COLD, long before Lewis can take advantage of Shavers questionable whiskers.
