I would bet on a sure win for Lewis. Lewis always performed when perceived threat was high, and he would not be getting complacent against this guy. There would be no dropping the hands, smiling and asking to be hit on the chin. Lewis' boxing skills and natural power take care of business. :smoke
Wow, you really think he would last THAT long? (Well, then again, you didn't say EXACTLY how much under 30 he would go.)
Holyfield was champion when he fought Lewis. The fact that you claim he should have got the decision over Lewis the second time around (I think that this is ridiculous, but the point is that Holyfield fought better) shows that you cannot put him in the "past prime" bracket. He was pretty much at a career peak.
If this thread was in General, i would swear loads, mostly at Zakman. Only My Dinner With Conteh swears in clasic though. Shavers is a slugger. Lewis is an ATG composite puncher. Anyone who can't see it? Dummy.
I like how you think Lewis has either a "glass" or "shakey" chin, whereas Earnie ****ing Shavers is "questionable". Talk about bias...
This subject has been explained to you over and over again, yet you still come back with the same story. Lewis was not in the heart of his career when he lost to Rahman, and the McCall fight was possibly an early stoppage which we went through in depth the other day. In addition, he managed to avenge those defeats, whereas some great champion never did, ex. Tyson-Douglas. Was Lewis in his prime when he fought those guys? He's only 2 years younger than Holyfield, and in fact 1 year older than Tyson. You could argue that Lewis stayed fresh to a later age than the other two, but the fact remains that none of those three guys were in their prime when they fought each other. And with Shavers chin and rather limited skills, Lewis couldn't do the opposite, the way that Quarry did in a single round? You seem rather one sided on some these issues.
Your a great poster. Extremely funny, ridiculous opinions, and a silly looking avatar. Keep posting. :good
Lewis would dominate, box his socks off and lower the boom. Shavers has a punchers chance and thats it.
Lewis was much closer to his peak when he fought Holyfield and Tyson than they were. I don't see how the age argument is relevant.
I take Lewis by KO in most cases. chance for the Shavers bomb to catch him, sure, but in most cases I take LL.
