As far as punching power goes they're around the same level (top bracket), Shavers has the weaker chin, is a less skilled fighter and an inferior all round puncher- herein lies the difference. Lewis would inevitably land early on and Earnie is in deep trouble immediately, forced into survival mode on the back foot. This can't go on forever, though. Agree Lewis should be highly favoured here - Shavers is 1-dimensional by comparison. Lewis is much more sophisticated. On the other hand, I think it would be a brave man who put his mortgage on a Lewis victory over any legendary banger...
Yep...but chances are he'd be cognisant of Earnie's power, and condition himself properly. He'd probably fight a cautious fight for the first six rounds, and bust Shavers up with his jab before lowering the boom by round 9.
