15 rounds, both at their best

Ernie gets a bad beating here.
He fought leaning forward, never maximised his height.

He cannot out jab Lennox with his main weapon and , has not the power to keep him honest.

Lennox can really do as he likes with Ernie here.

    Five rounds stoppage.
Terrible stylistic matchup for Ernie .imo

    No! No! No!
You're not factoring into everything the decades difference in size/training/and size/makeup of fighters. ("yeah, the Klit brothers destroy Rocky in 30 seconds" :patsch)
Ernie, the Octopus, would lose a 15 round UD against Lennox.

    Lewis probably wins by decision.

And there is the definitive answer Legend!
I know I rub people the wrong way on board here but it is SO difficult to compare fighters from different eras.
IMO Ernie would win a few and lose many more against all the HW champs from 1890 to 2012.
But, unless someone clocked him with a Sunday shot, he'll hang around, holding, jabbing, complaining throughout in route to a decision either way.

Ernie mocks 'Lummox the Lion' pre fight.

But Lewis can only get out "what's my n..." before Terrell hits the deck.

He beat both but mavrovic and akinwande caused Lennox a lot of problems. Against mavrovic Lewis was breathing like a ******.

The key to beat Lennox was make him fight at a pace that did not suit him especialy once he got over 238lb.

lennox over 238lb would struggled past 12 rounds against anyone, but they would have to be good enough to last that long. Was ernie that good?

I think it would be awful to watch TBH.

Terrell wasn't great or anything but he was quite a savvy boxer. He was only stopped twice in his whole career, once at the very end of his career by Jeff Merritt and once when he was first trying to break into the rankings, by Cleveland Williams. He became a better spoiler after that first TKO defeat. Both Williams and Merritt were monstrous punchers ... as was Lennox of course.

The prime Terrell of 1963 - '66 would probably be cautious enough, skilled enough and clever enough to go the distance with a prime Lennox of 1997 - 2000.

Ernie Terrell was a lot better than Muhammad Ali allowed him to look.
Lennox had nowhere near the speed and movement to outclass Terrell like that.
But, yes, he might be able to knock him out earlier.
