whoops...i messed up. i had it 7-4-1 for lewis so that's 116-113 although he hurt holyfield with the uppercut badly enough to perhaps consider a 10-8 round :think This content is protected
Anyone who had the second fight close or even a draw needs to quit watching the fight game because you don't have a clue.
14 people think Holyfield won? ******s who probably never saw it, since it was clear as day Lewis won.
You obvioulsy like Lennox as I do GOAT... :good Out of curiosity, how did you score the second fight?
Awesome chin too. Even at 37, Holyfield could take tremendous punishment, not too many HWs around in 1999 could've taken that shot and not hit the deck. Hmm, considering he's still going now at almost 46, a 37-year-old Holyfield in today's division sounds pretty good! 9 years younger, better stamina, less ring wear...sure he'd be holding a belt or two at the moment.
The one heavyweight that a 37 year old Holyfield would have had trouble with, would be the ultra-conservative Wlad Klitchko. Wlad is even more conservative in his approach toward a capable fighter than was Lewis..... .....Holyfield would need speed and quickness to contend with the skilled Superheavyweights, and at 37 years old, he was'nt top tier in those aspects. The more interesting fight to me for that 37 year old Holyfield would have been with the other Klitchko brother, the unconservative sock it to 'em Vitali. What a fight that would have been.......Vitali certainly opens himself enough to offer even a 37 year old still capable Holyfield with counter opportunities. Would have been epic imo!:yep
He was in fact holding a belt or two coming into the Lewis fight at 36 or 37. That uppercut was the second best uppercut i've ever seen him land - only the one against Vitali Klitschko in the 6th seemed even harder. Certainly on par with the one that Buster landed on Tyson.
A draw and Lewis victory is pretty much reflective of the two fights. Lewis won the first one. The second one could have been scored a draw.
