As you yourself have pointed out, Foreman said a load of things that were untrue. Calling out Tyson then saying he wanted no part of him. That's why I say you should take what he says with a healthy pinch. As for Bowe and Lewis ducking him, it was never going to happen up to 91. Foreman had lined up a lucrative shot at the champion who happened to be a lot smaller than Lewis or Bowe. He wasn't going to risk that. So when did Lewis or Bowe duck him? In 92 when Foreman went life and death with Alex Stewart? In 93 when he was losing to Tommy Morrison (who would go on to lose by 1st round kayo to Michael Bentt in his next fight)? Or maybe in 94 when he was being soundly outboxed by fat light heavyweight, Michael Moorer until he got lucky and scored the only knockout he would manage for the rest of his career which saw him matched against the likes of Crawford Grimsley, Axel Schulz, Lou Savarese and Briggs who was proved to be a lesser fighter than Lewis? Rather than a knock against either Lewis or Bowe, I think it's to their credit that they preferred to test themselves against younger, more legitimate (at that time) fighters. But do you really think that, if he had offered them a shot at his title, they'd have turned it down? Foreman may have called them out on air. It's not the same as offering them a contract for a fight. Can't you see that? I can see you've been booted. Shame, that. I'll have to wait for you to get back before you can enlighten me. I'll look forward to that as much as a Johnny Nelson v James Warring rematch.
The prime era and the physical condition are very different things. But otherwise i think Tyson wasn't in his physical prime against Douglas. Maybe Tyson's physical prime was in 1987 when his stamina was very good(Tucker,Smith fights). But the Douglas fight was in 1990 and 2-3 years can ruin a fighter physical condition. I think you know well-like every well-educated boxing fan -Tyson had some training and physical problems after the Rooney era. ( I hope you can't say Tyson's stamina was good against Douglas.) Considering these considerations we can't say Tyson's physical prime was in 1990 without risk.
Lennox Lewis glass chin ? This man took licks from Mason,Bruno, Mercer,Morrison,Tucker,Holyfield,Tyson, Klitschko...
"Old Foreman too much for Lewis"? " Lewis gassed under pressure" WTF ?? When ? This guy hates Ali and Lewis and is a Foreman fan ! I need a lie down !
There's more to boxing than punching though. Foreman found that out when he fought Ali ( and featherfisted Jimmy Young)
