Lewis of the Grant fight 6'5 247lbs vs Foreman of the Norton fight 6'3 224lbs.

    How does this one go?

I'd narrowly favor Lewis. I think his combination of Size and ability would give him a good chance. Steward would have him throw a couple of bombs early to get respect and George was hittable with right hands particularly given Lewis's range. I think it would be crucial to get George's respect early to set up the type of fight Lewis wants. Lewis would need to establish the jab and back it with some hard right hands.

Lewis has immense power himself and would be extremely dangerous to Foreman as well as vice versa.

It's a great fight and the first couple of rounds would be so dangerous - to both.

What JohnThomas1 said. And if Lewis had an iron chin, I'd pick him each and every time against Foreman. But seeing as Lewis has been stopped by single shots, Foreman would be a dangerous proposition.

There are so many things that might happen in this fight I can hardly call it.

Each man could stop the other man early. But Lewis is favorite if the fight goes on. So I give Lewis a edge here.

Well lewis was a great fighter with several tools to beat foreman, the problem is that george did cut the ring pretty well and the chin of lennox was not great. I suspect that it would be split in series, both fighters would win some fights and would lose other few fights.everthing could happen here . how much i hate larry holmes i think that he is a better candidate to beat foreman than lewis cause his better durability

Or Lewis could finish what Lyle didn't

The real question is could Lewis cope with Galento??

2 things here, both men were strong and both men would be fighting the hardest punchers each ever faced. Lewis the better defensive fighter of the 2 was also KO'd by lesser punchers than Foreman, However in a fight in which was one of Foreman's more competitive fights where George accually got hit was Lyle and Big G was almost stopped on several occasions yet Lyle was no where near the puncher that Lennox was. On the other hand both McCall & Rahman were no where near the puncher that Big G was.

I think Lewis best bet would be to box like he did vs Tua, let Big G feel his power and wait and see if Big G tires & then unload. For George it would be stalk with cross armed defense but conserve energy and wait to land the snowball that starts the avalanche

I would lean with Lennox here but in reality one punch from Foreman can change all that in a flash.

Great fight, Lewis has a good chance no doubt, but I would bet on Foreman mid rounds stoppage due to his superior chin and killer instict

I'd favour Lewis but would in no way be surprised if Foreman won.

To be honest i have no problem with somebody who picks lewis here... I go with my man george but lennox was a monster as well.. Foreman said once about lewis
" he is like a Cassius clay/Muhammad Ali combined with a young George Foreman"
I don't agree with this literally but the truth is that a young lewis the version of ruddock when he weighed 227 pounds was fast, explosive, powerful and skilled. He was very ponderous at 245.

Foreman always seems to big up other boxers though.

My main criticism of Lewis is that he could blow hot and cold. If he has a bad night against Foreman, he's going to have a very bad night. On the other hand Lewis at his best was devastating.
