He was unsteady for sure, but he held his hands firmly in front of his face to show the ref he could defend himself. Literally hundreds of fighters have been in worse shape and allowed to continue. We have an example in this very thread - Grant was waaaay more defenceless on several occasions in his fight with Lennox but was allowed to continue over and over. Holyfield was in worse shape against Bowe in one of their fights and was allowed to continue. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a legit stoppage. But another ref on another day would have let it go, then who knows what would have happened. Anyway, like a few of you have pointed out, that loss was great for his career in the long run.
