I think LL brutally KOs all those guys unless he gets a bit part in a movie before fighting one of them and gets KTFO himself due to celebrity sloth. Of course he KOs the offender even more brutally 3 months later.
Lennox past his prime against Vitali not yet in his prime... Hard to learn much from it, really - which was further from their prime is really hard to argue and the fight, whilst fairly even, was awarded to Lewis. A rematch would've meant Lewis further from prime and Vitali closer to his - Lewis would've been likely to decline further and Vitali likely to have learned from his loss... It didn't matter who won it, it wouldn't tell you who was best in their primes anyway because neither of them were in that fight. You could write that fight off as not relevant to either fighters resume and it wouldn't matter too much - Vitali had guts to go in with LL even past his prime, but his career beyond that point stands on its own merits, and LL career before that point was already clear HOF territory, if not ATG.
Damn boxing fan. Vitali does own any bare thing to british cash cow Lewis? and go to the hell with Lewis and your opinions that Vitali had failed his career. In eyes of shitty western fans of course Vitali had been failed, exposed etc. In eyes of Vitali fans Lewis is not important person. Live with this. Go to the hell, Lewis did used him as late replacement and sorry, Vitali without dumb western fans like you was very great with 0 need to be appreciated by Lewis or his fans. Vitali did not needed to be accepted as good by idiots like you as good to become notable and rich. And sorry, you are not smart if you think that Lewis was great, for me he NEVER was great. NEVER. Live with this, ppl like Vitali does not need nor $ nor respect from idiots like you. Also I think to be accepted as great by you is bad thing not good thing for any one in this world.
He was also behind on the scorecards against Frank Bruno until the stoppage. Lewis has the momentum at the time of the stoppage. He was gaining on the scorecards and was connecting more and more of his punches. And dont say cut. It was cuts, 4 of them
Vitaly failed one fight doesn't mean that he fails his entire career, how do you come to this conclusion. It's his fanboys like you that couldn't get over this one fight and ***** about it til this day. I respect Vitaly as a fighter and gentleman. His conducts in and out of the ring is respectable. His resume is respectable, his comeback run is a remarkable achievement in the heavyweight division. But you guys need to understand that while he's a very capable champion and HOF-worthy, he is NOT the GOAT that YOU think he is. Hell I doubt Vitaly cares as much about this as you moron, being the mayor of Kiev is hard enough. Also, it's perfectly fine to respect both Lewis and Vitaly while acknowledging their shortcomings, WITHOUT insulting any of them. Strange, huh?
That's a fair point, but a hell lot of people just couldn't get over this one fight that happened 18 years ago, figure. However, past-prime Lewis still a dangerous foe and beating him would have increased Vitaly's status greatly, young challenger beating old champion is as old as boxing itself. Also I disagree that Vitaly wasn't at his peak when fighting Lewis. He came into the fight with 32-1 (31 ko) record, had one belt (WBO) and whipped a fair share of bums and fringe contenders. Right after tko6 he blasted Kirk Johnson in 2 and beat Corrie Sanders for Lewis's vacant bell. He was in his prime.
No one is GOAT and never will be. All times are not gone, how we are able to know who is GOAT? GOAT means Greatest of All Time. All time is not gone.
Was generous there to cool the offtopic a little bit. I'd agree Vitali was closer to prime than LL, but I wouldn't have put him quite at his best at that point (in that sense my point about a rematch telling little about the two at prime stands even stronger IMHO)
For me Lennox would beat all of the top guys today with Fury and Aj giving him any possible problems. But I think he would have stopped AJ after a few rounds and Fury would create some issues because of his size, awkwardness, and in ring iq. But I think Lennox would prevail in the end. A lot of people often remember Lennox as being a cautious fighter which at times he was.... but he could also when motivated become a move forward offensive monster. Plus Lennox had a very good skill set and excellent athleticism for a man of his size.
Lewis was agressive against taller men and pressed the action HEAVILY. i guess people don't remember his fights with Tyrell Biggs, Henry Akinwande and Michael Grant. He would be a nightmare for Fury
