27-0 (22 KOs) against bums. Yes that's true.
Tyson wanted Mavrovic in 1999, Wladimir too. And they would've beaten him.

Good power? Yes you're fight. Maybe because of it Mavrovic went full 8 rds vs Odum, who was knocked out in 1 round by "hard-hitting" Larry Donald in his previous fight.

Mavrovic best win was Julius Francis, that's a FACT. Hardly a world beater he was.

Good chin though. He reminded me Vaughn Bean in quality of defeated opposition prior to Moorer. Also 27-0 (21 KO), had never beaten anyone ranked. Best win till title fight - Maurice Harris KO3. But gave the champion tough fight.

my boy i think that you got a bit mad because the other topic in another thread  i am not talking about styles... it was the opinion of byrd, that he saw both fighters and said that ike could ko lewis hands down.
    (FOR FOREMANJAB)
AND YES, THE TEAM OF LEWIS AVOIDED THE SOUTHPAW BYRD

He would have probably shown more balls against Lewis than Tua did.

So true, Lewis treated Tua like a sparring session, and Ike went life and death, to hell and back with Tua...

Lewis wins a comfortable UD over Ike...

Lewis probably takes this on points.

Ike never demonstrated the boxing ability required to beat Lewis imo.

No way to know but I believe Ike was something special and could have been terrific test for Lennox ..

you can say what you want.. ike was proved vs tua and byrd and he had every deparment to trouble lewis, chin, power, stamina, decent speed ,good skill, he was no bum , he could brawl and he was patient to catch a boxer , rahman was not better than ike in any deparment, if he could stop lewis ike can do it too

But he was ill. If you took away his illness, which is what is required for the fight to happen, you have a heavy handed slugger with a decent chin. Yes, plenty of them have got the fringes of contendership, but they get exposed. Lewis verses a 'sane' Mr President is a mismatch.

He had some qualities that could give Lewis trouble but most likely he'd just end up another Lewis victim.

Dont forget Tua walked into the ringpost in the dying seconds of the last round, ala Ricky hatton

Ike took bombs from the best David Tua ever and never flinched .. his chin was terrific .. he also showed a strong jab, movement and boxing skills .. there is no way to know how it would have went but it is one the sport missed out of ..

He walk through Tua's punches; no sane man would do such a thing. If Ike was given the treatment to control his illness, I doubt he would box, but if he did, he is not going to be the force he had shown while ill.

It would be like the mccall 2 fight, ike would just do something stupid after he realizes that he cannot beat lewis legally.

Lennox's ego could be an even bigger weakness than his chin. If he thinks Ike was another McCall, or Rahman, he could get waxed.

Assuming Lennox thinks Ike is dangerous, he'll likley win a decsion.

There is no doubt Ike had the tools to win.

    Foreman jab... you are correct.
Just read Lennoxs book again... Manny Steward advised Lennox against Byrd as he said the fight wouldnt motivate Lewis at that stage of his career.Byrd went up the rankings as a result of his 'win' over older Klitschko which came as VK retired when winning due to shoulder injury.
Lewis fought and beat everyone...including bigger and better fighters than Byrd.
Ike would have a punchers chance v anyone...but Lennox was different class.
