Definitely,Ziggy. Lennox would have been a mama papa and an aligator coming for Jack. Lewis too big for Dempsey.
Dempsey would be faster and more explosive but the size disparity would be too much. Lennox was no Willard or Firpo.
Mr Dempsey would be repeating the famous words he said to his wife after his loss to Tunney, "Honey I forgot to duck"
Except we all saw, in the Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman fights, that Lewis can be tagged and timed, and when he does, his legs can go to jelly. So yes, perhaps Lennox is too big, strong, fast, tall, long for Dempsey, but then again, Jack did great with big tall fighters, and had enough fast aggression, determination, footwork, head movement, and explosive speed and power to step in and catch Lewis right, and if he did, it could be good night.
With all due respect to Mr. Dempsey, if Lewis did not fall in the first round, Steward would find a "recipe" for Dempsey as he found for Vitali. Although I don't think there would be such a complication.
