id have to go lewis, every time joe tried to get inside he'd be eatin a stiff jab&it'd just be a matter of time till lewis got his timing&range right&started unloading big rights,id go lennox by ko in 8 or 9.
Just call me "ol' Reliable." Nice to see some folks get the humor in my approach - although I do give Smokin' Joe a serious shot of knocking Lewis out. Don't forget he floored Ali, who had - need I say it - a FAR better chin than Lewis!:yep
Lenox was a couple of inches taller than Ali and a very fit 250 pound man, with a great jab...one of the top five. Ali, Holms, Liston, Lenox. And a very good right. Frazer with two eyes...so he could use his once very good right hand...Frazer was half blind in his right eye...which was why the fight in Mannilla was stopped by his corner. Frazier was not in great shape for Forman one...and still blind in one eye.So he did not see that upper cut comming. Frazer was a man who wore down his opponets...I think it would go about 9 rounds with a two eyed Frazier getting KO'd.
That's right and he probably wouldn't get away with pushing Joe away to create the space to set up his shots like Foreman did.
Why wouldn't Lewis be able to keep Frazier off him? He's a full 40 pounds heavier, showed that he can box off the backfoot for 12 rounds and hits as hard as anyone did. He's no light-hitting Ali or Ellis, no lightheavyweight Foster or a big-fight flopping Quarry. Whom all landed nearly at will during the first rounds, excepting Foster. Against them you can get away with it because they didn't carry a big punch. Against Lewis you won't. Bad stylistic matchup for Frazier. You cannot beat a huge puncher that is bigger than you, taking 3 to land 1.
One would think those who watch boxing would be able to come to the same conclussions, it's pretty much common sense that a big skilled fighter will on average beat a smaller skilled fighter. And in the weight divisions 40lbs would be the difference between a light heavy weight and a lightweight. Now I know if body % were factored in the difference would be less, (ie 40/205 is less of a factor than 40/135) but it's still a very significant difference. Now if the smaller fighter has far greater skills this size can be overcome, but this certainly isn't the case in this situation.
I think you're dead wrong. I think Lennox keeps at the end of his jab all night, cruising to an easy UD.
STYLES MAKE FIGHTS.....IF FRAZIER CAN GET IN ON LEWIS.....WELL MAYBE BUT FRAZIER WAS ONLY 205 LBS IN HIS PRIME AND LEWIS 244 LBS.....BUT THAT REALLY DOESNT MATTER......CAN FRAZIER GET IN ON LEWIS.... ABSOLUTELY.....LEWISS JAB IS JUNK(HE PAWS WITH IT TOO MUCH).....A GOOD WEAPON AGAIONT FRAZIER WOULD BE AN UPPERCUT AS JOE COMES IN......BUT LEWISS UPPERCUT IS A B-......RAY MERCER GAVE LEWIS FITS,,,,,.....AND FRAZIER IS MILES AHEAD OF MERCER(FRAZIER ONLY LOST TOO 2 MEN ALI/FOREMAN).........i think frazier would win via 15 rd dec.......:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke
who did lewis ko with his left/???????? PS MAVOROVICH WOULD NEVER LAST 12 RDS WITH FRAZIER.....HE WOULD GET KNOCKED OUT...:smoke:smoke:smoke
Tommy Morrison. He also basically knocked Bruno out with a single left hook, although he stayed on his feet for a while, absorbing some punishment, like he always did. And you can be assured that Mavrovic would go 12 with Frazier. His chin is made of pure granite.
