Frazier was at his best around round 9, in a fight. He'd start smoking and Lewis's stamina wouldn't be to good once Smokin' Joe unloads with his viscous left hooks to the body unmercifully.
Wouldn't be an issue because he'd be KO'd long before then. BTW, looks like once again you're on the wrong side of a poll. It takes a special kind of consistency to be as wrong as often as you are.
I'm revaluating my opinion of Lewis but as it stands I have to pick him by KO. I think after 2 rounds he will realise that Frazier is too good at slipping his jab and getting inside. Assuming this is peak Frazier who can go all night. Once that happens I think Lewis will start to shorten his punches a bit and throw hooks and uppercuts. Whilst this will give Frazier openings to leap that left hook, Lewis is tall enough that shortening his punches keeps Joe at mid range which is still outside of his best punching work. Lewis is too quick and accurate and if Lewis does let Joe in all Joe is walking into is a huge uppercut. Lewis connects with a bomb in round 3.
Fraizer ducked into Foreman's uppercuts and he'd do the same to Lewis',that's if he didn't get decapitated by a right hand at range.Frazier said Foreman was "just too big for me", what does that make Lennox?
I agree. I do think Lewis begins behind the jab but he was so multi dimensional as a fighter it's hard to pick against him here.
You've also been in the minority in polls but do I bring it up as an attempt for a cheap victory? :nono
That's not my point. Perry said it would go that long. If it did, Lewis wouldn't have the stamina to take out Smoke.
