Had it been a the Tyson of the 80's and early 90's, the lewis fight would have had a different conclusion
I only read the last 2 pages so I assume something said caused the backlash on frazier, but I think past prime or fading would describe him pretty well by that point, neither holding a belt or being<30 have any real impact on a individual fighters condition at all. was zale still prime while he held the belt? was benitez when he was 29? that said, lewis tko was my vote, probably round 9-12. frazier'll make him miss coming in quite a lot, but not enough and will get grabbed on the inside after only getting a shot or two off. (maybe a more exciting fight with a really strict ref, but the same result imo)
Frazier might get inside all night long, but Lewis threw good uppercuts what Ali didn't do. I see Lewis stop Frazier in 6 rounds.
True. But keep in mind that beating Foreman in rematch is 1000 times harder task than beating Rahman. Frazier at 32 didn't have a chance against one of the best HWs of all time. Lewis at 36 just KO'd (great KO, yes) good, but pretty limited fighter in Rahman.
Let's not forget Frazier had already dominated the championship throughout 1968 until 1972, that's 5 full years on top. You can't really ask for more. Even taking off 1972 that's longer than Marciano dominated his era. What was Frazier expected to do after that point?
Hmmm, the user you proclaim to be on the other thread sure has a different view on this match.......in fact you have neglected galactus777's opinion for a more popular one. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120103043928AACaE2H
None of which alters the fact that you have simply copied and pasted some other users post from yahoo to start this thread.
Um no, this user actually copies much of my posts. If you actually go on yahoo you'll see what I mean.
To avoid those upper cuts, you need the 1985-88 Tyson super fast unpredictable and unreadable Tyson bobbing and weaving.
