first all i don´t know even who you are.... i don´t read even your posts so imagine how much important you are in this forum, lmao, of course i will not start a discussion type " i know much more than you about boxing" simply i will say that i know my **** on this sport and i trained as well, and just a few guys on this forum are not biased trolls.
you can argue that guys like foreman-hook were bad for this forum, but i guarantee you that there are many "respectable" trolls here and they are much worse
Talking about the best versions of each fighter, meaning a completely focused and disciplined Lewis, i pick Lewis by mid-rounds stoppage with the disclaimer that Louis may connect with a single 'Bronze Bomb' to turn that prediction on his head.
LOL Bronze bomb, i effed that one up good, huh? Good thing i posted that in the classic forum where i don't have to deal with a hundred pussies lining up to call me a ****** haha
Oh, boy, please tell us how you have been watching boxing for decades. Please, oh, please enlighten us Philistines. Or better yet, learn how to construct an argument based of fact and insightful observation. It would be your first.
I stand by what i said. Lennox Lewis is THE most overrated HW Champ in history. Joe Louis is the better and more accomplished fighter. Louis' resume destroys Lennox's for fun. Reading the names you've mentioned just reinforces the fact that Lennox Lewis beat absolutely no one of consequence. Tyson and Holyfield are by far the biggest names and best fighters on Lewis' list, and both were way past their primes when Lennox finally manned up enough to fight what was left of them. Your "bum of the month campaign" actually applies more to Lennox than Joe.
This is getting ugly...Be that as it may I'll risk getting lambasted and throw my opinion in this debate. Assuming both fighters are at thier respective best, I'll take Joe Louis...probably by KO or TKO. Would I be shocked if Lewis won? No. He was a good fighter, big with a punch and good boxing skills. But I think Louis shades him in a few departments. One being handspeed. When Joe gets close to Lennox, who presents a big target, Louis will whip in a combination punctuated with a whiplash of a right. That alone will put Lennox on the defensive and convince him to stay on the outside...and that will seal his fate. Plus lewis would have to deal with a ramrod jab and like a lot of tall fighters who like to jab, this will throw him off his rythym and set him up for more deadly combinations. As far as the size factor goes, watch the Louis/Carnera fight. Louis spun the 260lb Carnera around in the clinches and Carnera was a mountain of muscle if nothing else. I think when we talk about "modern" training methods and the size of todays athletes, it is more relevant to other sports. Like one trainer once said.."You can't compare fighting to other sports" and I have to agree. I've read posts in the past that claim Ali would be too small to handle todays dreadnaughts....please! Now I'm not puttin down Lewis...like I said he was a good fighter and a big s.o.b. as well. But I think Joe Louis could deal with it. Big fighters were Louis' meat. Little speedy guys were tougher. Ok I've stated my case...Now I'll hide!
Okay, seriously, i'll admit, Lennox Lewis is better than Joe Louis......................on the Playstation LOL.
LMAO! This is a joke, right? I mean really? You are kidding, right? Although i'll admit i respect the Klitschko's more than i do Lewis.
Lennox Lewis benefited from modern performance enhancers. He came along 60 years after the Brown Bomber. Yet he still loses to Joe Louis, because the beauty of boxing is a true all-time great cannot be superseded by size, weight or artificial power alone. Lennox could never floor Evander Holyfield, became tentative at Holyfield's charges, dragged things on forever when faced with a cagey ring performer, and was always one solid shot away from defeat. It would be rough going at first for Joe Louis, but he would settle down and begin to systematically attack Lewis' body and eventually find that chin. Joe Louis wins.
So because he didn't floor Holyfield it means he can't stop Joe Louis? By that logic John Ruiz stops Joe Louis. (Louis wouldn't be holding Ruiz like Holy did)
I don't really think it's an opinion that Holyfield could take a shot better than Louis. Closer to a fact.
Mate, lol, it's an absolute joke if you think the Klitschkos and Lewis have good resumes. The era in which Lewis and the Klitschkos have reigned is without a doubt the weakest era in heavyweight history. If you think otherwise you are greatly mistaken, misinformed, or deluded. Seriously.....get real. lol
