Lewis probably considers the lisping Holmes a joke, but purely because he is NOT a loud mouthed, trash talking American half wit, ( like Holmes ) keeps it to himself.

Since you mention it. I have heard Lewis fawning over Ali like a starstruck school kid, but I can't recall him ever mentioning Holmes. Possibly because he considers him to be irrelevant.

iirc Lewis has said he wouldn't want to fight Holmes because he feared he would be outjabbed.

I like Larry far more fluid, and better wheels. If he settled into a rhythm he was tough to beat and Bruno was out boxing Lewis until he tired. Competitive fight that Larry wins.

Holmes thinks pretty much every great heavyweight in history would have been an easy victory for him.

Both Lewis' losses were to powerful right hands. I don't see Holmes having that kind of one shot power, short of a Weaver type Hail Mary shot. Holmes was pushed to the brink by the likes of Norton, Weaver, Snipes, Williams and young Spoon, and Lewis was more formidable than any of them. Lewis UD.

Holmes wasn't so old.The 37 years old Lewis beat the prime Vitali Klitschko.
Tyson destroyed the 38 years old Larry Holmes easily.
But Lewis was nearly 38 against Vitali and he could won, Holmes had
    zero chance against Tyson.
The first round showed how crap was Larry against Tyson.
Maybe Tyson landed 12 punches Holmes could 3 punches.
-Holmes was in better shape against Tyson than Lewis on the Vitali
    fight.
-Holmes was much more experienced than Tyson.
    ( Tyson's circumstances weren't better than Holmes'.)
-Lewis has a glass-chin and Vitali landed so many punches but Lennox
    could won.Tyson humiliated Larry.
This Holmes' age excuse is very weak thing.

I think lewis could be the greatest ever but he wasn't always motivated enough hence the 2 KO losses.his straight right is one of the most potent ever but he never used his jab enough.
Larry Holmes may have talked crap but he was a great boxer.
    Lewis on points

The same way as an idiot Holmes fanboy like you got on here.

I could do with a laugh, so tell us again EXACTLY how much did the ******ed bigmouth Holmes get ripped off for by King?

I can tell you how much Lewis was ripped off for by the scum. Nada, Zilch, Nixey Plonk, Sweet FA.

So go away like a good boy and stare at your bedroom wall pictures of Holmes.

Hard fight to pick.. Good ring technicians weren't the types of fighters Lewis lost to, but then again he never faced one anywhere near Larry Holmes' level. On the flip side Holmes was never beaten in his prime and survived a lot of big punchers and men of varying styles, but never someone with Lennox's all around package of size, power and skill. I'm leaning towards Holmes by close decision but definitely not a fight I'd bet significant money on.

Rahman was not known for his punching power. That shot which floored Lewis was not a particularly powerful shot, I have seen much harder hits, Lewis had a very weak chin for a big man but he did a very good job of protecting it as he knew it was his only weakness. But I think Larry has all the tools to win eventually along with his stronger chin and warrior heart.

Hmmm, i remember reading an article where Holmes claimed Lewis admitted to him that he didnt want nothing to do with Larry because his jab was too good.

I think i did a thread on it a while back but didnt really get any responses.

I rarely if ever feed into here say conversations between fighters. For one thing we don't know the exact " context" of the conversation or for that matter if it ever even took place, or if one fighter was just trying to be respectful of the older one ( most likely scenario in this case. ) I also question weather or not Lewis meant that he wanted nothing to do with Holmes hypothetically when he was "prime" or when they actually shared the division together in Holmes' 40's. If its the latter, then I don't buy it.
