In the heavyweight divsion you never know, it only takes 1 punch as lewis has found out twice already.

logic tells you Lewis by kayo.

Lewis by pretty early knockout. He has all the advantages.

I don't think Moorer's chin is as weak as people make it seem.

you don't stay standing and come back from most of those shots if you are weak chinned.

I don't think either of them necessarily have weak chins, but rather unreliable.

I THINK MOORER WOULD GIVE LEWIS A LOT OF TROUBLE......I KNOW HE HAS A SHAKY CHIN BUT HIS JAB IN 94 WAS SUPERB AND HES A SOUTHPAW....HARD TOO SAY TOO BAD THEY DIDNT FIGHT.:smoke:smoke:smoke

Lewis would find a way to win he would naturally have trained to fight a southpaw and his size, power, and yes, chin would all be advantages he'd use. (BTW, anyone know if Lewis fought any southpaws in the olympics?)

Lewis by KO. Moorer was technically proficient and had a fair dig but was vunerable against the bigger heavies, although quite tall he was basically a blown up light heavy. He was flattened by Foreman and Tua and repeatedly shaken and knocked down in numerous other fights. His style would pose Lennox one or two problems but was always a sucker for a right hand which we all know was Lennox' best punch...

I don't know why people keep posting this, when it's clearly wrong. Lewis did fight a southpaw called Greg Gorell. Lewis knocked him out in 5 rounds.

Lewis having a good right hand gives him a good weapon against southpaws. Lewis also tended to be susceptible to right hands which as a southpaw would not be Moorer's main weapon. I'd favour Lewis to win. Though if Lewis shows up out of shape or over confident anything could happen, lewis could be inconsistent.

While I agree with your assessment of Lewis vs Moore. You cant compare Greg Gorrell to any legit top 10 ranked southpaw. What I do know is that the 3 southpaw champions during Lewis's career he didn't fight ( Moore, Byrd, Sanders). I might be missing another top named contender that was around in the top 10, but can not think of one at this moment.

morrer a bit chinny/ but lennox never faced a southpaw with a hammer jab like moorer / lennis the favorite but it wouldnt suprise me if moorers southapw stance would befudle lennox and lennox loosing a dec....remember in 94 is b4 manny stewart

Moorer was a great technical fighter who could punch but he was never a natural heavyweight and would always struggle against the big boys, Foreman and Tua proved that and southpaws were a sucker for a right hand which was Lewis' best punch. Lewis KO4 :goodMoorer
