    So he was a significantly lesser fighter in 1994 than the one who faced Mercer, Briggs, Makovic and Holyfield ?

    I think its the consensus that over time and through work and experience, he improved ;)

    I agree.
    That's why I think giving Moorer some sort of chance against the 1994 version isn't crazy at all, regardless of Moorer getting 'lucky' with Holyfield.

    I think in his 1994 form Michael Moorer was a better boxer and a more 'prime' boxer than anyone Lewis had defeated at that point.

    But as I said, I think Lewis wins.

    Lewis by early knockout more than likely, Moorer would not have been able to take Lewis' shots, especially the right hand which is the natural sucker punch for a southpaw.
