Who would have won? I favor Lewis, but Tyson would be a live dog.

I think Lennox wins this match-up any day.

Ray mercer at that time gave lewis a tough time, tyson would have stopped him no doubt in my mind... In few rounds.

When you fight tyson you know you'r gonna get hit with a big right, bad news for lewis, he was ktfo twice by right hands... Imagine tyson landing the right hand... Lewis is leaving the ring on a stretcher

As an admirer of Lennox i sincerely wish that they had fought at this time. This was approaching peak for Lennox . He had a tough fight that year against a motivated Mercer, i've never thought that fight reflected badly on Lewis. Mercer showed up that night and showed what he could've been. Lennox would've been ultra motivated for Tyson and would've stopped him, which is why Tyson was kept well away.
In 1996 Tyson beat a frozen Bruno and the breeze from a missed shot saw off Bruce Seldon.
Tyson then lost to Holyfield and never won a fight of any significance thereafter.
Off all the matchups for Tyson at this time, this would be the worst. Mike by this point was way past his best , his heart wasn't in it, i suspect, basically he knew and if he didn't he certainly did after Holyfield, although they conned the public for a while longer.
Lennox and Mike's peaks didnt even come close to overlaping, which was just how it was due to Mike's peak being so short and Lennox being a late developer who was barely out of the amateurs when Mike was peak. 1996 Lennox would be a certain winner im 100%.
Mike was awesome at his best , but as HE says himself, his career at the top ended in Tokyo 1990.
