Is Lewis around today? I thought he retired over 10 years ago?

Who'd 'school' Ali the worst out of that list?

 

Ali is so far ahead in learned and physical talent he would have no issues in his prime today. The talent level today is horribly watered down. Most thought of as top ten challengers have no business being there.

Lewis vs Ali? Prime for Prime Ali wins going away. He was just too quick and Lewis would be out jabbed in every round. I can't see Lewis lasting a full 15 rounds.

 

Probably Haye. Haye is superior to Ali in every department, he's a lot faster, stronger, better reflexes and unlike Ali he actually can punch hard. Haye by early KO.

People, fight fans of the last twenty yrs or so put such a high premium on size. It's silly, Lewis didn't dominate an old battle worn E.Holyfeild, how in the hell he dominates and much less he beats a prime Ali? Esp when considering his far less then great chin. Ali would out jab Lewis, Sure Lewis is taller with a longer reach, but Jabbing is more about timing and reflexes and speed then height and reach. Look at prime M.Tyson, who outjabbed most of his opponents during his peak though most of them were much taller then he was. Skill level would be the major difference in this fight. Ali could adjust to Lewis, but could Lewis adjust to Ali? No, in my opnion. Lewis could start strong against Ali. But Ali would start timing that left jab with right leads.(lewis dropped his left hand after Jabbing ) Make Lewis hesitant about throwing out the jab, and somewhere later in fight, land the right hand that would end Lewis night.

 

At this point in time, there is a top five. The rest of 6-10 is mostly unproven. In fact some of the top five is unproven as well! A complete mess.

 

Though I think you overstate your case, especially the inside distance ending.I broadly agree with the result.

True that but ali had a bigger heart and been to the defs of hell and back .plus more tougher still like lewis atg. But ali on a diffrent level

 

Prime Ali by ko. To me the prime Lennox wasn't too impressive considering Lewis had big problem with an aging
fat and mediocre Mercer( 42 years old Holmes beat a better Mercer easier than Lewis),Vitali Klitschko and
Rahman who destroyed him by a one punch ko.Ali was better than Mercer,Rahman or V. Klitschko.

 

The young Ali runs rings around Lewis. The Older one still beats him on decision.

 

Ali would have problems with Whyte and Ortiz as well..both could and do fight southpaw...did you see how much trouble Ali had with 190 pound southpaw MildenBerger ? He even buckled Ali with a body shot and fought with one eye half the fight. guys are delusional if they think Haye, Fury, Povetkin, Klitchko, Whyte, Ortiz ,Joshua and Wilder cant cause Ali problems. All these guys were better than Norton and certainly would be more threat than any 5'11 guy with limited one punch power or anyone he fought in the 60's. Take a guy like parker a big 6'4 240 solid guy who fights tall guys relativley good and he would be very dangerous with his speed and power,ppl just dont get it.

Did you see how much trouble Ortiz had with Malik Scotts basic movement? Whyte could barely beat a shot-to-chit Chisora.

I did , you didn't. Ali dominated Burger. Dropped him multiple times on route to a nasty stoppage victory. His closed eye was a result of the battering he took.

Ali mops the floor with all of them. Haye went life and death with Euro Bum champ Fragomeni. Euro HW champ Burger was a lot better than Fragomeni and if Haye was around in the 70' he would have been destroyed by Burger.
There's a reason why Haye refuses point blank to fight any HW with a pulse. He won't even fight a top 50 HW. I doubt he 'd beat Bob Foster , never mind Ali.
Haye wouldn't even claim to beat Ali himself. Why do you think he called his son Cassius? Its not cos Ali was the bum you believe he was.
Do yourself a favour and rid your thoughts of everything you read from the HW Blog. Take the deletion of that troll blog as a sign it was a load of junk.
