TBF Ali was leveled by a 180 pounder! see we can go in circles if you like! He also lost to Frazier actually TWICE if you pay attention and mute cosell.....you sure you want to compare who struggled with who here? :SimpHomer:

    You make my point already.

Both men have lost to inferior opposition than those were matching them against.

Assuming it's a whitewash for one fighter is ridiculous.

You think Wilder , Haye and Whyte are better boxers than Norton.

When it come to the all time worst poster list , you're a lock for top 5. Everybody knows that.

Ali would beat Lennox clearly. It would be a fairly one-sided fight. Very possibly a KOor TKO.
Any version of Ali from 1964 to (and including) 1975 apart from perhaps a couple of times when he came in out of shape against fourth-rate oppoments.
From 1976 onwards, he probably loses a decision to Lewis.

They are indeed more technical if not more difficult and overall better than a just a stiff cautious tuck in jab that Norton had who also had a SUSPECT chin ,and would be SEVERLY undersized in todays game as well as predicatable, just a solid guy from the 70's .......you still havent answered on why you think David Allen is on EQUAL skill as Klitchko though ? ...You are truly the biggest clown ive come across ! And believe me you have ALOT of stiff competition! :gayfight:

I actually WISH you were smart enough to post in the training and nutrition section on here ( I can post there b/c i KNOW boxing and give SOLID advice and have vids of me on there) you are way to dumb for that section,i would LOVE to read your stupidity on there ...but you cant ,you have NO boxing or training IQ ...think about that one! :eyepop:

Nobody said anything about a white wash but you are in literal fantasy land if you actually think ANY odds maker would book Lewis as an underdog if they ACTUALLY did fight with the REAL life fighters as they WERE as Ali would be faced witha SHw BIGGER and BETTER than foreman and certainly have a menacing opponent he NEVER had to face at 6'5 240 plus who could actually box...maybe you are good with LEGENDS and Folk lore but i'll stick to the actual match up! as stated , even if i was the ONLY guy picking Lewis...guess what?

Thats one correct and more rational choice. Lewis would win 4 out of five times ,dropping one match if they fought five times and that one would be bc Lewis eases up.

I don't know who they'd make favourite. Foreman was a favourite to win against Ali, so was Liston.

You aren't the only one picking Lewis, this is a close fight as the poll shows.

What folk lore am i good at?

Lewis never beat anyone 4 out of 5 times.

What is your analytical breakdown of the fight? What is it you see that the forum doesn't?

As a collective we have the fight close with Ali slight favourite, please enlighten us.

foreman was favored b/c the bookies THEN could make more money and twist the odds easier...now is not the case! Same thing with Liston...the bookies knew to make him the favored and made out like bandits. you look at ATG as though its a skill that is folk lore. No one with sense or realistic comparison is going to favor Ali in this one ..unless you listen to FOLK LORe and think its a fight that favors ali, that he will SUPPOSEDLY DANCE circles around Lewis?

Ali has NEVER dealt with a longer /BETTER jab....Ali NEEDS the jab to win ANY fight...l Ali COULD,NT block left hooks and had to reset almost always by SIMPLE jabbers...look at the zorra folley fight...what do you think a guy of Lewis is going to do? You can pick ali to win but thats not a smart pick ...its just not ...if i have to actually break this down i would need to create an ENTIRE thread on this!

Ken Norton was 6'3 with an 80' reach. The 3rd best HW from 2003 -2013 Povetkin is 6'2 with a 75' reach.
Most of Wlad top rated challengers were smaller than Norton.
Brewster , who blew him into oblivion was shorter and lesser reach.
Sanders , who creamed him was just a tad taller but had lesser reach again.
Peter , who took Wlad life & death was smaller in height and reach.
Norton could box better than all those guys. Even though he wasn't an ATG , he had atg level skills. Superb jab and left hook. Educated feet work. Better condidtioning than anybody in the game today bar T.Fury Boxing isn't a size game , its a skill based game , j'understand?

Not interested is discussing nutrition. I'll go to a food forum if i want to do that. This is boxing forum , i come here to talk box.
Adam Booth knew more about the nutrition side of the game than Manny Stewart .. Does that make him a better trainer ?? lololol

Being an ATG is a skill? Surely you have that backwards. You need skill to be an ATG.

Create an entire thread on it, I'd love to hear it.

The Ali of the 70's would hugely struggle with Lewis. The one of the 60's is a slight favourite.

Maybe he does better against a guy that size. People said for years that Wlad doesn't do well against smaller guys , he does a lot better against guys his own size they said. Then Fury clowned him from start to finish. I guess wlad just dont look great against guy who are good , period .. lolol

I think Ali would actually look a lot better against big SHWs with slow feet than the Fraziers, Nortons and Joneseses etc

Ali never had trouble with the big fighters and big punchers of his time. He would not have trouble today. Anyone with a clue about technical boxing can see in seconds that Ali FAR outshines anyone today. Hwt boxing today and the past 20 years is a watered down sham. Too many champions and too many contenders. No need to be that good because you don't need to be that good. No need to train for a championship distance fight of 15 rounds. Most hwt contenders today should not be rated in the top 30. Most champions have just contender level skills

There is absolutely no doubt......none........that prime Ali would be the favorite going into a fight with Lewis. Ali IS rated the greatest hwt ever for a reason. Speed kills and Ali's jab was measured as being quicker than SRR.....a middleweight.
