Lennox Lewis vs Muhammad Ali who wins?

Sorry but Lennox has a big chance. He is too big, too strong and powerful and has good boxing skill. Funny as hell saying Ali would rope a dope him. Lennox is not a dumb fighter.

Also, Ali was not a puncher. Not saying he couldn't KO Lennox, but Rahman and McCall were more powerful. Ali isn't one lunch KOing Lennox. Lennox showed good punch resistance in other fights, like Mercer and Vit.

 

Neither can you... so that just leaves us with what he said...

Yeah I always felt Lennox's reputation for having a weak chin was unfair and solely based on a couple of punches, both of which were great shots and one of which - against HR - in a fight for which he was ill-prepared after appearing in a Hollywood movie and flying out too close to fight night. If you look at his career in the round, he took many hard shots and took them well. And anyway, in the HW division anyone can be badly hurt, and anyone can be stopped. His chin was solid.

 

Ali never had to deal with a calcualting 6'5 83 inch reach SHW. Its two different fighters one can move around more but the other can put your lights out with one shot and has also great ring IQ. What fighter actually had great ring IQ that Ali fought? Frazier beat ali through pressure and thats all he could do . Foreman was not smart at all in his fights ,really only whaling away cutting ring off on small guys. norton was smart and knew how to utilize the jab by counter jabbing which gave ali fits. Sorry but ali is not beating Lewis,he would have trouble even if he had one shot power but he didnt. Manny plus Lewis would equal not a good niight for Ali and Dundee.

I actually think Lewis wins this pretty handily. Ali would have his respect and thus a motivated, fit Lewis off the back of a good camp keeps it long and grinds the greatest down.

Tough to call, Ali is the GOAT but Lennox is the greatest of the new Super Heavyweights and also generations ahead of Ali in terms of Sports Science and all that comes with that.

 

If someone put a gun to your head, and said pick the correct winner, or you and your family will be shot, every single person including the Ali nut jobs would pick Lewis 100% of the time. You all know it is the truth.

 

Yes, he would have. Mercer outjabbed Lewis, and Ali wouldn't have? And I don't need to see the films of both fighters because I've already seen enough of both of them while watching throughout their careers.

 

Im afraid we don't. Although I wouldn't consider myself an Ali nut job as there are others that I prefer.
