I guess you're part of the "fighter A beats fighter B because fighter A is from a bygone era" club, take the rose tinted glasses off and come back to reality.:smoke
Lewis loses almost every round but stops Ali around the 6th on cuts,Ali asks for a rematch and Lewis agrees only for Lewis to retire permanently
Ali then proceeds to dominate a weak era with no worthy challengers and is forever remembered for a loss.:think
Would 195 lbs Karl Mildenberger be competitive agaist LL? 50/50? This content is protected --Questioned in 1973, Ali mentioned that Mildenberger and not Frazier was his most difficult opponent to that date.--
p4p ali, why, more athletic, faster, would score a lot with his jab. could take a punch if nescesary. real, its lennox, just way to big. put it this way, foreman like power with an boxing IQ and ring generalship and a weight and height advantage, to much for ali.
ali would beat the **** out of him... jesus the polls here are always skewed. bowe would beat the fuk out of lewis as well.
How on earth is this so close? Lennox Lewis was a great heavyweight, but Ali was the greatest! Lennox didnt function when he had his jab taken away, see Bruno, Mercer, and Rahman fights, and nothing surer than Ali takes his jab away, lands those laser guided right hands, and dominates Lennox. Ali also was in with bigger punchers than Lennox, who brought more intensity and ferocity. In summary, Ali saw and dealt with previously every puzzle Lewis could bring, Lewis never saw anything like Ali. This is Ali winning 10 times from 10.
Do you actually believe that? Go watch Clay v Liston to watch how a Prime Clay/Ali deals with jab/power, from a better fighter than Lennox. Lennox was great, Ali was the greatest. He'd beat Lennox like a cheeky ginger stepchild!
As a fighter and a man of respect i'm sure he wouldn't. Infact he as said it ain't fair to compare to past fighters.
I've said it before. I don't like it when people say look at what other fighters did to lennox so Ali would do the same when the fighters are nothing like Ali at all. Rahman first of all is an awful choice as lennox was winning every round up till the stoppage and Bruno and mercer couldn't even compare to Alis style. Ali has never fought someone like Lewis. Ken nortonX3, jimmy young, Frazier and a few others made Ali struggle. Are there styles anything like Lewis? No so it's pretty irrelevant. I'm sure there is someone on lewis' resume that style is sort of like Alis so I'm fine if you use that as a comparison, however the comparison probably wouldn't be that great Alis only real opponent that was anything like Lewis was Bugner, big height and reach advantage like to use the jab a lot and he only lost by 3 points on 2 judges scorecard which could suggest Ali may struggle against a bigger man.
... If your going to try and mock me at least pick out something in the post that doesn't make sense. I know, you know, everyone knows Lewis got KTFO by Rahman. The point was that supposedly Lewis jab was being taken away when in all honesty I think it was more down to Lewis being lazy and thinking the fight would be a walk in the park. Deserved what he got tbh.
