Valuev's power isn't among the elite at heavyweight now. He's behind Klitschko, Virchis, Tua, Peter, Maskaev, Brewster, and Briggs when it comes to power. And wins over Ruiz, Beck, and Barrett don't warrant "dominance" of the heavyweight division.

Lennox was too skilled, precise, and powerful for Valuev. His jab would be finding the mark and he would wear him down with a steady accumulation of power punches. Valuev wouldn't win a jabbing battle, as he paws with his.

    Lewis TKO7

I think that Lewis would find Valuev pretty easy to hit. I do not think Valuev's power is anything special.

    KO4.

this must seriously be a joke, lewis would hammer valuev to the floor. valuev is one of the worst heavweight champs ever, he isnt as powerful as is made out he just has size advantages but against top class opposition someone would have to call the police coz he would be raped all night. lewis is faster, more accurate better workrate, hand speed foot speed, what could you point out that valuev is better at, he waits for his oppnents to wear themselves out by jumping up and trying to swing for him then pushes them over.

and i think we are all in agreement that if he is not the worst champ of all time he is the ugliest !!!!!!

He wasn't punching up against Grant, we saw how that went. Grant was also there to be hit a little bit, but he at least had power. Valuev's awkwardness might get him out of the second but not much further.

Valuev is too easy to hit. However, i wouldn't be surprised if Lewis couldn't floor Valuev. The man has an incredible chin; combinations from big 230+lbs men have bounced flush on his chin and nothing happened. I think Lewis would force a stoppage however, perhaps on cuts. The way his face looks indicates he is susceptible to cuts. He's never been cut (as far as i know), so that's a bit of a surprise, but Lewis may well be the first to do it. If not that then probably the referee saving Valuev from more punishement.

Despite his size, Valuev has mediocre power. It wears you down but it lacks that concussive force. Probably he doesn't put his weight behind most punches to not tire himself out. His stamina is actually pretty good.

    But the size diference?

I love Lennox Lewis but it is delusional to think that he could overcome a 90 lb weight advantage in a fighter with basic boxing knowledge.

Chris - do you think that Valuev ever fought a boxer as accurate as Lewis?

omg its crazy to say this, valuev is officially pap. both the klitshckos would hammer him, and we all know wa vitali looked like after lewis beat him. im not even a very big fan og lewis but i can see how much he would hit valuev, u cant compare valuevs beatings of alphabet champs to an inevitable ATG.

so because valuev outweighs ali and tyson and homes and frazier foreman and louis does this mean he beats all of these too come on guys.

Valuev could trouble him a little bit, and win a round or two. But Lewis would be able to land on him consistently and win by a wide UD 10-2 or maybe even late stoppage after Valuev gets beat up.

valuev has too big a head for lewis not to be able to land, his only form of defense is to use his big boulder head to block punches.

valuev IS the epitome of goliath, when someone with more brains and skills dances around him and jabs him he is useless.
