Just watch their fight in the Olympics when pros and ams actually looked alike.

Though it wouldn't end as quick, the outcome would be the same.

Lewis KO - he simply had Bowe's number.

Riddick made himself look exceptionally stupid as well. Even if he had lost to Lewis it wouldn't count against him, certainly not as much as running away like a little *****.

For a top class heavy his resume is **** weak, especially so taking away the Holyfield trilogy.

Lewis had Bowe's number, Bowe was petrified of Lewis.

Lewis is too skillful for Bowe. Bowe could bring it hard and maybe even wobble Lewis here and there but Lewis would get those straight rights in off the jab and KO Big Daddy with in 10 rounds.

I actually think Bowe would have a chance as Lennox was not at his peak at that time yet.

It was ridiculous on Bowe, Lennox gets credit for that as if he had actually won the fight that never happened.

    They are worlds apart.

Lewis is a top all time HW while Bowe is a mediocre HW.

Yes, Bowe managed to fool some people withthe fights against little Evander, but the Golota fights showed what Bowe was against decent HWs of HW size: Limited and mediocre.

The Evande fights were exciting and I enjoyed them too. However, we must not let that make us forget that the fights were exciting because Bowe could do well against smaller fighters. If Bowe was allowed to fight as a CW he would do really well. As a HW against real HWs there are not many good HWs he would beat.

    Lewis by an ass kicking.

Bowe was a good heavy with some great tools. He did not fight Lewis because Rock Newman did'nt want to risk the title on a monster like Lewis. Little did Rock know, Evander was gonna gain 12 lbs of muscle and show up to win. Also, fighting a trilogy with Evander was where the money was. Lewis was a great fighter but he was not very popular. Little reward with extremely high risk of loss. Golota fought a faded version of Bowe. The three wars with Evander and a long amateur career ruined him.

It was Bowe's pathetic, money-grubbing manager that ducked Lewis and had him pull that garbage bin stunt, not Bowe himself. I actually thought Bowe was a better Heavyweight in his prime than Lewis, even though Lewis had the better, fuller, more proven career due to being the much more dedicated fighter. That was always Bowe's problem, shame as he could've been so much more.

Lewis would have beaten bowe convincingly, there was no point in bowe taking this fight

Exactly. People make all sorts of assumptions about why this fight didn't happen, most of which are straight out of Lewis camp propaganda at the time. The reason this fight didn't happen is the same reason many other fights don't - the money that could be made at the time Bowe chose not to face Lewis didn't justify it. There was more money to be made facing guys like Mercer - who Bowe was set to fight until he was upset by Ferguson - and Holyfield. THAT'S why this fight didn't happen. Cash, baby, cash.

What people also forget is that a Lewis-Bowe fight was all set to happen in '95, but then Lewis went and got himself knocked out by Oliver McCall. Fight coulda happened, but Lewis's chin killed that one.

Lennox would've won this fight, but it would've been better had not all the "ducking" situations Bowe seemed to go through happened.

In 1993...........bowe would have won........lewis peaked from 1996 to 2000....................all in all prime for prime i would say lewis would have won......but bowes chin and heart is great....he could have quit against golota in the 2nd fight....but he chose to be a warrior that cost him his health.................i respect bowe and lewis...........i miss the 80s and 90s.
