What, before or after Bowe canned his WBC belt to get out of a mandatory against Lewis? Well, apparently Lewis and his managers went to Bowe's people for a negotiation, Bowe's people put out some outlandish split(something like 80-20) for the fight. Lewis and Company left realizing that Bowe had absolutely no intention of fighting him.
Unless Bowe had a contract printed up and was willing to sign it 50-50 split with Lennox Lewis right then, I don't buy **** that Bowe says.
Lewis beat bowe in the olympic fianals and when they were pro while bowe was champ he offered lewis a 90 10 split on a 32 million $ purse lewis declined and then became the mandatory challenger and bowe the coward he was threw his belt in the garbage
