If Marciano was being beaten up by Wallcott in both fights, and Ezzard Charles also beat him up and out boxed him. Lennox Lewis is bigger, stronger, hit's harder, and can box just as good as them guys. Marciano is in trouble man. Lennox Lewis is not only bigger, he has the faster hand speed, and foot movement.
And by that logic so could have Holyfield, Ruddock, Vitali, Tua, etc. Sounds like Lewis was lucky to have won any fights.
Jean Chanet have a 50/50 chance against Pineta. But I think Lewis fought Chanet in his 14th fight or 13th fight.
I'm not sure if I wouldn't pick prime motivated Lewis to beat any heavyweight in history at his best. Marciano was just too small I think
Lewis every day of the week, and twice on Sundays by either a complete shut out, or KO if it suits him. Marciano has got nothing to trouble Lewis. Too big, too strong, too clever, and hits harder than anyone Marciano ever saw.
If McCall and Rahman can turn off the Lewis lights with one shot and Mavrovic can go life and death then Marciano, one of the hardest p4p hitters ever, definitely can shatter that glass, too. Sorry Lewtards.
Lennox Lewis casually out boxed a motivated David Tua, while slightly on the back foot. Lennox Lewis was a 5 dimensional fighter, Rocky Marciano was one dimensional, he fought the same way every single time. 190 pounds, slower than Lennox Lewis, does not have the arsenal of technical skills, Size! and is One dimensional. Even when it comes down to bruit physical strength, Lennox Lewis is up their with George Foreman. Lennox Lewis was a bull of a man, and push Holyfield ad Tyson about like it was nothing... Push fellow super heavyweights about like, he was pushing a child on a swing. Rocky Marciano was a great fighter and tough guy, but Lennox Lewis is far too big and too skilled. If you are 190 pounds, going up against big heavyweights you have to come with something different..? Athletic ability, power, speed, and agility, and unnatural strength......"Like Holyfield and Tyson etc". Marciano was strong for his size but..? Speed, agility, and athleticism was lacking! Hand speed was nothing special ether.
Lewis was a One dimensional fighter. If he couldn't get the knock out he looked very ordinary. If he does ko Rock , it wont come from boxing like Walcot did.
Mccall didn't turn off Lewis's lights. Also both are not poor fighters.. especially not Rahman. Rahman was 235+ in his prime and all muscles. Purrity was a **** fighter 20 losses in his PRIME. Mccall even TODAY AT AGE 50 don't have that many losses... Purrity walked down Wlad and bambi legged that mother****er. Go back to your cave, you are nothing more than a UK Uncle Tom who worship foreign fighters because it feels good to be 'different' uncle tom mother****er. if you love ukrainians so much go crawl to that **** hole and live there.
deal:deal That's the bottom line of a whole lot of these modern vs ancient fighters threads. It's not just the size. It's this size combined with enormous built, strenght, power, speed, coordination and skills.
So you're comparing the skillset of Primo Carnera vs. Lewis? It's night a day my friend......... Marciano would KO Carnera, while Lerwis would KO Rocky. :deal
The thing with Marciano is that he was the best conditioned athlete in history, he kept throwing haymakers at full force throughout the entire fight and he punched anything he came in contact with all the time, the shoulders, body, face and eventually the blows took a toll and wore the opponents down. Lewis is the big favorite here but Marciano can do the impossible as well.
