Lennox Lewis vs Rocky Marciano

Would this fight even be made? Marciano wouldn't even be a heavyweight today I think Lewis would be too big and would overpower Marciano Maybe even knock him out.

 

How would Marciano do if he was a cruiserweight today? Hell with the day before weigh ins we have now he could even make light heavy if he dried himself out.

 

If ordinary fighters like McCall and Rahman knocked Lewis out, an ATG like The Rock should be able to turn the trick. :nod

 

Thats almost like saying prime Arguello takes prime Hearns out because Barkley was able to do the trick

I dont know...Lewis had a tough time against a past prime Holyfield...tough time..And rocky is just as tough as the real deal

Ill always judge Lewis with his fight against Holyfield. Just because Holyfield was one of the 3 REAL great heavies at the time along with Tyson and Bowe.

He didnt fight Bowe..Tyson was shot..and the smallish Holyfield was the closest to being prime yet Lewis had a hell of a time

 

Ok, what about a prime Marciano against a past it Lewis?

 

I really dont knwo either way.. Its always hard to compare eras..Its really pointless.

Some would say guys now a bigger, stronger and faster..

then I say that guys like Ali, Marciano and Louis been knockin out guys when Lennox was still in his daddies nutsacks

so who the **** knows

 

The biggest argument everyone has for Lewis is 'His size" **** his size, he had no chin, and got knocked out by club fighter McCall, and Rahman. Marciano would get to him, and put him out of it.

 

It shows Lewis could be ko'd in title fights, and these guys were not legends by any means. Lewis was excellent boxer, and of course he beat many good fighters. But Marciano was more then a good fighter.

 

Rocky Marciano: 5'10, 185 lbs
Lennox Lewis: 6'5, 245 lbs

We see what happen to Tyson, Rocky will get beaten even more badly

Yes Lewis can be beaten . . . he had loses didn't he? But it's not a question of being a legend or being a good fighter . . . it is the fighting style that actually matters.

As I said Marciano is a crude fighter who bangs and swings while coming in to insert pressure . . . that's his style and that style won't work against Lewis.
