Marciano beat some big guys on way up, and there were big gguy saround then, and they were talented. Best heavies are not always biggest. A 135 pound guy is at disadvantage against a 160 pounder, it is less so once you get past 170. Many fighters at 180 could beat guys who weighed 220 or more. Ernie Shavers in his prime got slelacked by a 5 feet nine inch lightheavy named Bob Stallings, who not only took some shots that ko'd bigger guys, but he knocked Shavers down and had Shavers on run last three rounds.

Too many trainers and fighters are getting obsessed with lifting weights and putting on muscle, instead of staying conditioned and sharp.

They're right next to each other on my alltime list.

But the Pugilist Specialist is closer to the top !

Talented? Bit of an exaggeration don't you think.

:good and this is coming from a big Rocky fan. Lewis that fought Andrew G. would run over ANY version of Rocky.

Marciano would be KOed in 5-6...Marciano's defense wasn't good enough to last any longer than that...

In a two of three I would pick Marciano twice. Lewis has all the tools and size to win. A third of the time I think he uses these tools but Lewis is also a sucker for a straight right and when Marciano gets that right in look out.

Marciano fought guys like Charles, Moore, Walcott, La Starza, and all 4 had as much or more skills than Lewis. ****, Charles and Walcott had faster punch rate, sharper more accurate punches, fought at faster pace, and were quicker than slow poke-weak-chin Lewis. Marciano had good enough defense to beat them, and his defense is underated. In Walcott fight (first one) he was blinded by chemical in eyes all through middle rounds, and that is when he took most shots---but he still won.

Lewis by pure domination...it would be the same as the Tua/Lewis fight but worse bc less weight/mass for Marciano...wouldnt be surprised to see it end with a annihilating ko

Rocky's bravado will be for his own detriment.

He can only take so much punishment from the big guy.

    Lewis by TKO.

Tua was way out of shape, and did not try, and is not half the fighter Marciano was. No comparison
