Even if you disregard the difference in size, Lewis was simply the superior fighter. Better jab, better defense, mobility, boxing skills, punching power.

Marciano supporters keep saying Lewis supporters only go on about the size difference, well Marciano supporters only go on about his punchers chance.

Lewis stops Marciano inside 6 rounds. Mismatch.

Lennox by murder. Boxing has weight classes for a reason.

I'm a Rocky fan but there's really no way he can win.
    -Lennox is a better boxer
    -Both are punchers
-Lewis obviously has a longer reach
-Rocky never fought a man of Lennox's height and reach
-I can't see Rocky doing much as far as landing enough MEANINGFULL punches to win the fight.
-Lennox boxed very cautiously so i don't think Rocky would be able to land a ''lucky'' punch.
-Although if Rocky did i just see lennox using his weight to lean on Rocky especially when Rocky would be in his crouch to throw hard follow up shots.

Marciano fought at least one pro Lewis size, but not in Lewis class. I think Marciano would win. How do people say he was unskilled? He was not boxer-mover type, but he had defense, and fighting out of crouch might trouble Lewis. If Oliver McCall (and don't tell me his weight makes him harder hitter) can land on Lewis, Marciano can.

Marciano would not do like Golata, and choke. He would not do like McCalll in rematch, and cry. He could take Lewis shots, Lewis could not take his. Plus, e would not let Lewis land so easy. People say things like 'He was easy to hit, and he cut easy" Both untrue.

Tua from the Ike fight had an engine like no other.
Tua there was like a Honda Civic with the power of a jetfighter.

I also think Marciano would never defeat that version of Tua, not with 15 rounds, not with 20 and not with 45.
Tua could hit harder, had a better chin (ate everything from Lewis, even his three punch combo), and was dangerous in every round.

I don't know why I suddenly mentioned Tua, but it was probably because he also had a very very good stamina

Lewis by brutal ko. Marciano wouldn't make it to the 3rd round.

That's funny a lesser fighter in Rahman did and a small fighter in Mercer did as well.

    I agree
Or they don't get gooey anytime anyone from pre 1980 is mentioned.

Well guess what, this isn't karate. Its not MMA. Its Boxing probably the most unique combat sport there is in regards to how important size and strength are over technical ability.

Super, doesn't change the old adage. A great big man always beats a great little man of equal skill level.
He also didn't fight anyone as big, or as strong, or as smart as Lennox Lewis is.

    You're delusional.

Yeah, nothing else. How did he beat Tyson, Tua, Holyfield, Vitali, Mercer, Bruno, the Bread hustler, Briggs, Ruddock, Rahman, McCall, Morrison, Tucker, Akinwande, Grant, or Golota? All those guys suck?

Yes, superior range of damn near two feet, and a weight advantage to be able to wear an opponent out if he does get inside is a disadvantage. So does the rose tinted glasses extend to everything from the 1980's and before? So are computers better back then to? what about the athletes from other sports? Cars?

Lewis also can cover more ground with less movement. But please go on...

Really, so The jab of Lewis doesn't work in this theory, neither does his ability to clinch, nor throw uppercuts. Nor is Manny Stewart able to figure this out... Okay.
So do you still have to wear the special helmet whenever you go anywhere?
    uh huh VVVVV
:lol: Really tell us more about Marciano's chances and how Lewis doesn't belong in the same conversation for his statue-esque movement, and inability to throw anything but a shitty jab which Marciano will laugh at as he closes about 2 feet of distance.

Marciano can really beat Lewis. In the mind of hardcore nostalgia nuthuggers, that is.

Tua came in so fat and out of shape agiasnt lewis their is no way to give Lewis advantage over Marciano based on that. Lewis not taking out the fat out of shape *******, who by the way, is almost 2 inches shorter than Marciano, is an indication of how Lewis is overrated.

    Lewis will kill Marciano.

****ing Maricano was 5'9 and 160 pounds you stupid morons.
Stop the myth. The dude was not 5'10 and 180 (even if he was, Lewis will still murder him) . My Uncle did extensive research on Marciano. Marciano was 5'9 and 160.

Lewis is 6'5 and 240+. Lewis is a superior boxer, puncher, mover, bigger, better, slicker, more monstrous. Lewis will toy with this midget.

Marciano fighting Lewis will be the equalivant of a 2nd grader fighting a college guy. Me being the college guy. The 2nd grader will be brutally knocked the **** out. I'll toy with him too, maybe throw him around. Marciano loses 100 out of 100 fights against any version of Lewis. Even the drugged up African Version.

I can't believe people are seriously debating this. Its like saying, who would win in a race, Jesse Owens or Usain Bolt. I have Marciano #3 HW all time and LL #5. But its for achievements in their era and impact on the sport and society more than "who beats who".

LL would not be allowed to fight Marciano currently, because LL is a (super) HW, and Marciano fought during a time when HW's were almost exclusively cruiserweights. LL would be more than 6 inches taller and 65 pounds heavier than Marciano, peak to peak. It would be a brutal 1st or 2nd round TKO (if second round only because of tremendous heart by Rocky) for Lewis. If a Klitschko fought a modern day Marciano people would laugh at their victory and say it was proof of how terrible the division is that they picked on someone so small.

Lennox by brutal KO. Rocky was like 5'11 and 185 pounds with no weight cut. Rocky versus Bernard Hopkins makes more sense

YOu again? You are a ****ing ****** moron.

Show me some proof Marciano was 160. YOU DON'T HAVE ANY. Were all the scales back in the 50's wrong? Even if you were right, that means Marciano was knocking dudes out who were 30-50 pounds bigger than him.

You should be banned for spewing nonsense like this you ****** ****.

    As Floyd would say, YDKSAB.

    P.S. Either you are a ****** who doesn't know **** or your uncle is a ****** who doesn't know ****.
