Lewis separates Jones from consciousness.

He doesn't get up/wake up nearly as quickly as he did from the Tarver and Johnson KO's.

 

Lewis is way too slow to catch Roy with a really clean hit to KO him early. I think Roy is winning the fight with a hit and run style, but Lewis will get him in the clinch and grind him down to a late TKO.

 

Lewis, slow? WTF. Quick enough to catch Jones.

Just kidding. Jones versus Lewis is like Lewis versus Godzilla. Not even a fair matchup to make. (Oh but a bunch of old-timey "heavyweights" no bigger than Jones would totally have a legit shot at Lewis, because as we all know, being filmed in black and white is worth six inches of height and fifty pounds.)

 

Good one, Smashgar. I totally agree. I hate hearing about how all these amazing 190 pounders would have beaten the giants of today. It's the curse of Jess Willard, I guess, but in 99% of cases it wouldn't apply.

Lewis would smash Jones. Roy was never a real heavyweight.

 

I was very disappointed in Roy Jones decision to drop back down to face Tarver after beating Ruiz rather than go for immortality vs Lennox Lewis... he made that decision himself & on the basis of that he doesn`t deserve a vote in his favour in this poll.
