It would be competitive however long it lasted that's for sure. Roy has to run n this fit and get in and out as quick as possible, because as soon as Lewis lands he could be in real trouble. I think the most likely outcome would be for Lewis to get Roy in a clinch and wobble him with some power shots inside backing him up and landing a big straight right scoring the KO.

"could" be in trouble if lewis lands? it wouldn't be trouble that jones would be in when lewis lands, it would be a hospital bed. true story.

I said could because the way Roy fights is so unorthodox that it's very hard to catch him cleanly. Roy could withstand most glancing shots that Lewis would throw at him and I don't think Lewis will catch him with a clean shot for at least a few rounds. When Lewis lands multiple shots at full power of course Jones is gonna get KTFO however I think it's incredibly foolish to say as soon as Lewis lands a big punch its over.

there are no multiple shots at full power from lewis to knock jones out cold... it's just the one shot at full power.

i think that you may have taken too many shots to the head yourself.

Nobody giving Roy a shot here

The only thing going for Jones' favor is that Lewis never really fought a slickster type opponent, I guess Holyfield is the slickest guy he fought but he was 36-37.

Of course, knowing how Jones fell into a ditch via a Tarver left hand, I'd think a Lewis right hand would knock him into Jay-Z's lap

Lewis by ko with the first jab that lands flush. Seriously 1st round, 1st part of the first round. The opening bell is still echoing.

RJJ by brutal KO...Lewis could not handle his unique blend of power and speed and Jr's chin can take anything Lennox can throw. There is nothing Lewis can do to keep RJJ honest in this one...I seriously doubt this goes 5....C'mon no Canadian boxer can beat a pensecola boy!

In fairness to Roy he would make things look interesting until Lewis started fighting bull****.

Two of th emore interesting fighters ever imo. Roy with his natural physical gifts....a true see before you see fighter...Lewis with his obvious size but he wasn't cumbersome in the same vein as other giant,...when in doubt go with the bigger fighter Lewis by KO

    Lewis by a massacre.

Jihn Ruiz was the 'right' heavyweight opponent for Roy. Lewis definitely would n't have been.

Lewis would have pounded any version of Jones through the canvas. Roy was just too small for Lennox and no matter how quick he was he was going to get hit and knocked out.

Jones with his speed and elusiveness could have made Lewis miss, and made him look clumsy at times.

But I think to the Glen Johnson fight, Johnson wasn't a big hitter as a MW, and when he caught Roy he put him away with a single shot that practically knocked him unconscious on impact. If Lennox caught him flush, it would have been devastating.

Jones was very hard to hit, but at some point in 12 round Lewis is going to connect, and it's lights out.

A better fight would be Roy Jones vs Rocky Marciano

Even the shot that Ruiz landed would have KO'd Jones if was from Lennox Lewis. Jones was shook a little by that shot, but Ruiz was not a big puncher.
