Lennox by ko. Even the prime version of Roy has to get into Lennox's range in order to land. Not good for Roy.
Lennox would have destroyed RJJ, as he should have done to any guy of RJJ’s size, no matter how insanely gifted Roy was
I wonder if there's an alternate universe where Jones stayed at heavy, fought (and beat) Holyfield and Tyson - and then retired. And I think at that stage, prior to any weight cutting, he was capable of doing it. What a different place we'd be in then. Personally, I've never been convinced by the tired old 'he'd get chinned ' argument which gets rolled out routinely now. See this previous thread: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/in-defence-of-roy-joness-chin.719055/
Snort, it'd never happen. I have some familiarity with psychoanalysis and am willing to apply that knowledge to Roy Jones free of charge. I'm certain that Jones' scarred upbringing and need for validation / acceptance from Big Roy (which manifested as an adult into his sick fixation for alphabet straps); plus his fear of ending up like amateur friend Gerald McClellan means that Roy would flee to Canada before ever facing a skilled, tall and powerful Brit heavyweight like Lennox Lewis.
If Roy was lucky he would get koed by one punch early. If not Lennox beats him up and hurts him for a mid round stoppage.
Did you know guys like Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield turned down a Roy Jones fight circa 2002-3 era? Evander admitted he thought he'd get embarassed at that stage. Evander and Jones nearly fought circa '98 but I'm unsure why it fell through. Tyson talked to Roy about the fight and said, in the build up I'll need to insult you allot to sell the fight but don't take it seriously. But Tyson was going through a bad time back then so it didn't happen for this reason. Also a 185lb Cooper beating a 200lb Jones Jr? Behave
Roy's dad really held him back TBF, could of won a title far earlier. I understand it though, I don't my son getting punched in the head either.
