I think you seriously underrate Lewis. Clearly you're more sure that Bowe would beat Lewis than Bowe was. Otherwise, Bowe wouldn't have publicly and shamelessly ducked him like he did. As far as his losses to Rahman and McCall, the McCall fight may have been stopped early, and Rahman got in a lucky punch. Rahman didn't even want to fight him in the rematch and was thoroughly pummeled.

Only Frazier beats Lewis, what a crock of horse-****.
Lewis gets beaten every time by Ali. He couldnt outbox Ali, and no-one ever stopped Ali till he was done, so hows Lewis going to win??

Not only would Ali win, but he'd stop him IMO.

Tyson is way to agressive, powerful and accurate for Lewis. People here are forgetting just how good Tyson was, and vastly over-rating Lewis.
If Tyson had retired after he demolished Spinks, he'd have been remembered as the best ever.

Lewis would have got smashed up by Foreman IMO. Look at the trouble he had in a slugfest with Shannon ****ing Briggs, never mind one with Big George.

If Lewis can keep Frazier away, he wins the fight using his jab, grab, and break.
If he cant, and it becomes a brawl, he gets battered.

Holmes v Lewis is all about who can establish the jab, and for me thats Holmes.

I think Bowe had all the skills in the world to beat Lewis, does he? for me its 50/50.

Lewis beats Holyfield everytime. He just has all the aces in this fight.

I dont get it either, he seemed to get knocked out or got seriously rocked any time he got hit with a decent punch. I think Lewis is the better version of that glass chinned joke of a champ, Wlad. I would still put Lewis in my top 10, lower end though. He has the names on his resume, and a good record, but never beat a good oppenent in there prime like Holyfield did.

70's Ali does not have the legs for it to outbox Lewis. Younger Ali does though :good

Excuses, excuses - as there always are for this guy, it seems. Bowe didn't want to fight him? Yeah, sure - that's why the fight was all but finalized before Lewis went and got himself taken out by McCall. People repeat Lewis camp propaganda (he "ducked" him) like it's fact, when at best, it's unproven speculation.

Sure the McCall fight was "stopped early" - as Lewis stumbled forward towards the ref! :patsch And you can call Rahman's KO a "lucky punch" - but fact is he starched Lewis. :yep And Lewis is the ONLY top level HW champ to get taken out twice like this by mediocre fighters in the early rounds - the ONLY one. He's isn't just overrated, friend - he is RIDICULOUSLY overrated. :nod

    Im not so sure.
He still was blindingly fast handed, and accurate, and beat Foreman, and Frazier twice, in the 70's.
Lewis got outboxed for 7 rounds by Bruno, IMO beaten by Mercer, and got all he could handle from Holyfield 2nd time.
Ali in the 70's offers way more than them.

Exactly. Which is why Holyfield, not Lewis, was the best HW of the era. Yet, among boxing fans today, Lewis tends to be greatly overrated, while Holyfield tends to be quite underrated. Usually by the same people.

Everytime he was hit with a decent punch he was knocked out was he lol?

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=u4SQmxIP5Bk

"Never beat a good opponent in their prime like Holyfield did"... Hmm didnt he beat a prime 31 year old future champ in Klitschko while being 3 months off 38 years old.

Who did Holyfield beat exactly that was in their prime anyway?

Do you pick a 38 y/o holyfield over klitschko

Cause i think klitschko give holy probs in his prime.

Wasn't the moorer loss in holy's prime ?

You seem to overate holyfield as a heayweight, great fighter but not top 10 as a heavyweight.

I think its a combination of 2 things, the fact that Lewis beat Holyfield and the amount of losses on Holyfields record, which is up to 9 I think, compared to Lewis who only has 2 losses.

get real, and please put your glasses on when you watch a fight. Briggs almost knocked him out of his shoes, and Bruno had him badly stunned from his punches early on. And if you want to see a fight where Lewis was out on his feet, watch the Vitali/Lewis fight, lucky for Lewis Vitali didnt know how to pace himself.:yep
