At no point of the fight did Wladimir try to come forward. He tried to box Fury from a distance and was unable to do so. Lewis wouldn't fight that way.

Prime Lewis always went for the kill when he felt threatened, look at how he cornered Golota and destroyed him. That's exactly what he'd do to Fury.

Fury would fight on the backfoot, Lewis would cut off the ring, corner him and destroy him with uppercuts and overhand rights.

Unlike Klitschko, who is somewhat of a mental midget, Lewis would not be afraid to trade.

Fury would be way out of his depth here.

yes I agree, Lewis had better fighting instincts in critical ways that Waldo didn't have. People saying he is a Vlad clone are missing the boat imo.

 

Klitschko couldnt even land the jab to try to cut off the ring. Klitschko has one of the all time great jabs and he couldnt even touch Fury with it. Lewis would have the same sorta problems with the height reach and speed of Fury. That is how great Fury is

 

Lewis had a better inside game, one hell of an uppercut - something that Wlad's never had anything equal too - and could be quite a dirty fighter when he had to be. Lewis had more dimensions to his game and could mix it up. Wlad never showed the ability to do that.

You mention Bruno and Mercer outboxing Lewis, well, what did Lewis do when that happened? He went for the kill. He moved forward and took the fight to them, never being afraid to trade shot, never just sitting back and hoping his boxing skills could see him through.

What did Wlad do when he being outboxed by Fury? Did he step his game? Did he take the initiative? Did he take the fight to Fury and try to stop him? No. He kept trying to box from the outside. He kept on with his game plan that wasn't working in the blind hope that things would change.

Just the same as against Sanders all those years ago Wlad didn't have a plan B and couldn't adapt in the moment. That's the difference between him and Lewis - Lewis could adapt.

I get on great with CST and we have a lot of the same opinions on fighters and prospects coming through

 

neither guy made any attempt to fight. ref should have warned them both, then ruled a double dq if they continued to refuse to fight.

I made a thread titles legends I don't consider legends and it was a list of fighters who have huge drug wuestion marls hanging over them and I was open to adding and taken people off the list after discussion. No trolling. I got banned the thread got removed without explanation and the reason they gave me was take some time off haha. I think the poster itsa reported me bexuase he was getting very angry that I didn't have pacman on my list.
