Going by the eye test you wouldn't give Fury a cat in hells chance but in reality it's a different ball game altogether.

How would Lewis handle facing a fighter who is taller, heavier and with a longer reach and who also happens to have great footwork and elusivenes?

Lewis' best bet would be to try and blast Fury out early but saying it is one thing and doing it is another thing.

Lewis did not have the best engine and I can see Fury exhausting him in the clinch. Lewis was used to being the bigger and stronger man in most of his fights, he wouldn't have that luxury here.

How would Lennox handle being beaten to the jab by the longer Fury?

This wouldn't have been an attractive fight at all and would resemble the Vitali fight, the difference is Fury is more adaptable and better than Vitali ever was IMO.

It's a tough pick for me. Fury is more ellusive, better radar and bigger. Lewis was more aggressive, quicker and a better puncher.

I don't know. I lean toward Lennox based on his consistency without any certainty.

I really like furys skillset. He won last night because he's a bigger better boxer with great movement. Lewis is very comparable in size, although he is shorter. I think fury would fight him a bit different than he did wilder and probably not try to smother or tie up as much and fight at distance. I think it would be competitive, but I cant pick against lewis. I dont think fury is feather fisted but I cant see his power or physicality being a deterrent in this one. I think he avoids lewis a bit too much in this, does some "cute work" and doesnt get stopped but shows the affects of some power shots which sways the judges.

Lennox would have trouble against Fury, but I think he edges him. It is a great fight. The key would be Lennox jab and right hand. The thing is Lennox was not too fluid on his feet really. His feet pointed out a little too much, which made him plodding at times. The key would be the right as it was Wilder, but I think he could edge it..

Well truthfully Fury isn't really 6ft9 closer to 6ft7 or 6ft6 his weight is mostly a benefit of fat he deadlifted with horrid form 200kg... which isn't really strong at all in general especially at his weght it's a good measure for grappling strength for me seeing as it uses the main muscles involved and is coupled with the powerclean as the bread and butter of the weightlifting side of wrestling his advantage is weight and a measly few inches in the physical department.

Lennox handled stronger men in the clinches, boxed with better men and to me is more skilled he holds the better corner, power and is close to match Tyson in the speed department with straighter more lethal shots.

His awkward style will bother Lennox no doubt but it wont be enough to actually be his undoing.

Lennox Lewis was a good heavyweight champion, but heart would be the question here. Did he not lose his title by knockout to Hassim Rahman and to Oliver McCall. No excuses, but did it not happen? Tyson Fury went down against Deontay Wilder in their 1st fight, but got up, that shows heart. I see The Gypsy King out boxing Lennox to a unanimous decision win.

Tyson Fury struggled with much lesser men then Lennox I don't doubt Tyson is special but you must admit it is too soon to say he could beat a GREAT champion in Lennox!

I respect your opinion, and you are right it is too soon, but Lennox was kayoed twice by inferior opponents, Hassim Rahman and Oliver McCall, and did not get up. Heart is an ingredient that a great champion needs.

He showed none against Shannon or Vitali at all to you? It was a matter of his chin being found not his heart.

You are right, but the chin did fail him, but he did not get up. If you are a fan, I meant no offense. He was a good champion but those losses do stand out, just an honest opinion. I do appreciate your opinion.

I would still pick Lennox comfortably. Great jab, unlike Wilder has tremendously refined boxing skills, can clinch, was strong and could beat you up on the inside. People keep calling Fury a defensive wizard but he has been tagged a lot. It's not like you can't hit him.

This. Lennox unlike Wilder was a complete fighter. Lennox wouldn’t be getting bullied in the clinches like Wilder was and Lennox not only had an excellent right hand, but he also had an excellent uppercut and he was good a putting punches together. Wilder only throwing the 1-2 and backing up to find his preferred range for his right hand made him way too predictable.
