Lennox Lewis vs Wlad Klitschko prime vs prime who wins?

Ooh. At this moment in time, I'm thinking this is a toss up. It could be a KO either way and it could be a clunky awkward dull close decision either way.

He's already considered a better HW historically than Tyson imo.

 

Klitschko is better than Lewis is every department.
Klitschko stopped Mercer in 6 easy rounds, were Lewis struggled to a MD.
Klitschko stopped Raham in 7 easy rounds, were Lewis was KO'ed by Rahman.
Klitschko stopped Jackson in only 2 rounds, were Lewis took 8 rounds.
The only oppoent Lewis preformed better against was Frans Botha Lewis in 2, Klitschko took 8 rounds.
Wladimir performed better against 3/4 opponents.

 

How is Vladimir technically better. Vladimir has no inside game and his uppercut is nonexistent.

Why wlad was fighting Lewis opposition, that is, guys from the previous generation, now aged and retiring and no longer worthy of contention, as world title fights, is a mystery indeed.

His balance is impeccable, he has a good sense of distance and when he throws his punches are spot on. Wlad is a textbook fighter. Lewis is good too, make no mistake, but Klitschko has the edge in technique. The fact that Lewis is better inside means little if Wlad can shut down the infighting.

I think it's fairly obvious that this is the case.

It's certainly very close. Anybody who thinks its an easy match for either lives in lala land.

But I would say that the advantage in multiple matches would go to Klitschko thanks to his greater consistency.

 

He's got lotion and wet wipes already by the TV.

 

Generations overlap. The fact Klitschko dominated a oppoent Lewis almost lost two on points speaks volumes for the difference in the level of skill between Klitschko, and Lewis, Klitschko is far more skilled. Especially when you take in to consideration it was a pre-prime Klitschko that dominated Mercer.
Rahman knocked Lewis out, and Klitschko toyed with Rahman.
Klitschko preformed far better than Lewis against 3 out of 4 opponents. It is clear who the better boxers was.
