    Yup.

Imagine he'd have knocked off the K2? That would have been nuts.

Solid work I'm basing my opinion just on Lewis not having his head in the game at all around that point. I can't see him pulling something out of the bag and I think he may well have had a bad night against a few contenders at that point.

As I've already stressed, I prefer Lennox all the way more often that not.

He twatted Brewster in the rematch, just like Lewis twattes Rahman. Against purrity he took him lightly and dominated before gassing, didn't do his homework, everyone knows this.

Against sanders he got battered, but eve if that's a stylistic flaw, how many hw fighters throughout history are southpaw volume counter punchers?

Old Lewis v young wlad is a shootout.

If they still went on to dominate the next era as they have (Wlad mostly) I reckon some would have went on to rank Lennox the G.O.A.T.

I wouldn't, Wlad wasn't what he would become. If Lennox came back now and smashed him? ;)

Are you saying that Wlad would be a can if he never met Steward?

Also, I enjoyed reading your posts. You seem to be very knowledgeable.

The point is he proved superiority in the rematch.

Wlads main flaw was being trigger happy and reckless. He still had quick hands, huge size advantage, a genuinely great jab and the hardest one punch power in hw history. With power like that, chin doesn't come into it, if he hits you on the button it's gonna be game over.

Old Lewis was very faded and would be more so by the time this took place. Sure he can take wlad out just as easily himself but wlad holds most of the advantages by this point.

Wlad threw from the chest with his chin up in the air and leaning in when he threw hard. He could've beaten Sanders with just a few tweaks though IMO. I don't rate Sanders as much as some because in my opinion it isn't even a bad matchup for Wlad, Wlad just wasn't brilliant back then.

Still, he could whack. Lewis could get spiked IMO.

Why would I be a wlad fan? I'm English and worshipped Bruno like he was the creator of the universe.

Thinking wlad could ko shot Lewis is nothing to do with being a fan of anyone.

    :yep

BUT hypothetically speaking, say Vitali beats Johnson, Lennox actually does a situp for the rematch, and he beats Vit, then Wlad right after.

Over Holmes or Marciano?- with Louis/Ali being 1,2? (Depending where you rank them)

Well just because you're english doesn't mean you have to like Lewis after he ****ed Frank's world, and won Gold for CANADA :smoke

I lived with a guy who was a big Hatton/Bruno fan but hated Lennox, actually.

Magna should write a book on the 90's, early 00's heavy scene. Those were good times with colorful, good fighters. I'd buy it.

I told him the same. His inside knowledge is amazing and I enjoy reading his technical reasoning for why a particular fighter will or won't something. And there's no substitution to actually having been in the ring with some of these guys.
