Fear shouldn't be confused with the wise restraint a boxer should use in not getting engaged in anything that may cause an injury not related to the boxing ring where he gets paid to withstand injuries.
Everyone should be scared of Tyson outside the ring. The guy was a nut case (sorry HANDS OF IRON) But he was a legit nut a lot of times..... and probably on different drugs.
This is the reason the whole "never got off the canvas to win" criteria is bull****. How about considering what it actually takes to put him there in the first place? Aside from an off balance flash KD in 1996, he was put on the canvas twice between 1985-2002 and got the absolute **** beat out of him by significantly larger men (both of which possessed a very good deal of skill) before he could be put on the canvas.
Agree. Iron Mike took shots against Lewis in 2002, before getting stopped, that would have finished many heavyweights. He had an atg chin. Refresh my memory on the flash knockdown in 96.
Pretty solid I reckon. But the dude was a quitter. Look at how he just stops throwing punches and folds like a cheap lawn chair when the other bigger man punches him :| It can be abbreviated: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIh804dh3y0[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUAG1bjht40[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcVJVvDTJeo[/ame]
Yeah he would've won anyway. His size would always pose a problem. Maybe the Tyson of the Bruno re-match has a good chance. Pre prison it's Tyson all the way.
