If he could have avoided those two punches he'd be undefeated...Riiiiiiiight. Not with that weak chin. Someone would have eventually clipped that piece of glass. Well, it's not really glass, more like papier mache. That thing didn't just dent.

There are matters of degrees. Head butting & holding is worse than elbowing.

enhancing & transforming your body via drugs is a worse in degree & kind of cheating.
Intentional, advantages stay with you for all your contests, not just individual moments & actions, & everyone lies about it.

Tyson was not at his absolute worst against Lewis, that was true of his last fight.
But he was a shell of his old self.

    Many great fighters fought dirty.

You can name Hopkins, Holyfield and Lewis.

Lewis did all illegal things to take an advantage and wasn't bothered by it.

He wore trunks up to his chest (literally) vs Holyfield I to avoid body shots.

He used elbows and he held most of his dangerous opponents.

He was holding and hitting - vs Grant it was blatant foul when Lewis was holding his head and landed uppercut that KO'd Grant (He would of KO'd Grant without that foul easily, but...). He was holding Vitali's arm and hitting him to the body landing 12 punches in a row.

He was pushing Tyson after he landed shots etc.

But I don't blame Lennox because it was his choise en route to win these fights as soon as possible and take every advantage, legal or illegal.

Holding is worse than elbowing? I know which I'd rather have done against me!

Mike was one of the dirtiest fighters of all time who couldn't handle it when getting roughed up himself. I suppose you forgot about all those times he blatantly hit people after the bell??

If you want to assign blame it has to be to the ref's who permit rules to be broken. The Grant uppercut was a blatant, blatant foul., but Ali fouled everytime he pulled Frazier's head down.

you're not making sense, he fought pretty much everyone who could have clipped that so called weak jaw and they didn't. Tua didn't, Tyson didn't, Holyfield didn't, Ruddock didn't, Vitali didn't, Morrison didn't and Bowe ducked him so he certainly didn't. The list goes on and on.

Makes your comment look rather stupid actually.

I don't think Lewis feared anyone. There were a few opponents that I think he "preferred" to steer clear of or not rematch, but a two time olympic medalist, dominant world champion, and avenger of two losses is not someone who's guts I'd question.

Agree. It's the referee job. Some fighters are smart enough to use some dirty things which sometimes help them. The referee is the one who should stop fouling by taking points off.

I just watched the Lewis Tyson fight again. Lewis should have finished him of much earlier. For a guy who was fighting in the best form of his life Lewis against a totally shot fighter Tyson he did a lot of clinching and holding. Lol at his corner continously barking at him wtf are you doing, the guy is finished and shouldn't be in the ring, get him the **** out of there before he hits you with some serious ****.

I have no doubt now that even if this was the holyfield Tyson, this fight would have been much more competitive even in Tysons favor.
