To be fair, Lewis was on his feet when counted out. I feel this myth that McCall KO'd Lewis has gotten a life of his own. Sparked cold vs. Rahman, on his feet TKO vs. McCall.
True but Lewis did stumble when he got up vs McCall 2 or 3 times he couldn't walk in a straight line. I know this stoppage has been debated over the years. But if a fighter gets up and can't walk in straight line and you don't know what the referee is seeing in Lewis's eyes then you can't really fault the stoppage. I feel like Lewis got up too quickly and his brain was still scrambled but he wasn't overly hurt a bit like Judah vs Tszyu.
I get it. Just wasn't the same as what Rahman did to Lewis. He was definitely out on his feet. Good comparison to Judah. Proper experience would have said stay down until 8.
