The Hoyfield fights had much much more entertainment than that, Lewis threw combinations, mixed it up and didnt shuffle forward all night. His fight with Tua was panne das boring but was magnificent in comparison to last night. Wlad seemed one dimensional last night.
:good Spot on post. I'm a fan of both. I think the excitment level is very comparable for the two. Some of their fights were quite exciting, others not. You can say that about most fighters. LL did seem to use or have a better uppercut. But Wlad had a comfy UD over SI. Sultan faught a very cautious fight too - trying to lure Wlad in so he could counter. Wlad had none of it. Then when SI tried a more agressive approach, Wlad tagged him - almost dropping him if not for the ropes. The Wlad haters will never be satisfied no matter what he does. If he wins his next 3+ fights and cleans out the HW division, they will fall back on their "weak era, NBA, NFL, blah, blah" card :verysad That's what's lame :yep
Lewis threw more rights and had more variety in the first minute of the Tua fight than Wlad had in 12 rounds last night, http://youtube.com/watch?v=qq9lBt-pKJ8 in comparison to this http://youtube.com/watch?v=vZIETeFSTd4
wlad is an amature compared to lewis. Wlad's so called explosive ko's only look impressive because of the level of competition he has fought.
mixed it up? must've been watching a different holyfield/lewis. and still, even if u wanna count tua and golota, wlad still has MANY many more spectacular ko's. again the point here isnt to knock lennox, but show how fing stupid a lot of people on these boards are. they cry and cry and cry about the state of the division and how there is no champion. and they point to lennox as the last division great. i just dont get it.
Lennox was probably more exciting, because he go to war more often and was outboxed a couple time and take more shot's also...
Yep that's right. Lewis did fight much better opponent's Too bad Wlad is the top in a shattered division with no real competition.
That's right. But lennox is still trying to engage Akinwande. Unlike Wlad who seemed too scared to let his hand's go.:hey
Akinwande wasn't in a shell like Ibragimov, he used a different fighting scared tactic, resulting in a different boring result, but you cannot say Lewis looked good there, but how could he? that's the point, when one fighter is intent on making it an ugly fight and has the skill to do so, that is what it will be.
